I have to agree with you... Although, I'm a 1st time 911 owner (actually order-er haven't received yet), but I thought the same thing. I suppose it comes down to the 911 is really a sports car, so not every convenience feature is imperative? But - tech is evolving, and the HUD is really an awesome feature, I've come to love it in my prior BMWs. That being said, the Porsche has an entirely different feel and perhaps philosophy about tech, convenience, etc. It should certainly be an option.
