Default "My Porsche" app to track car status

Anyone else using the "My Porsche" to track the status of their car? Surprised to see my order linked to my Porsche account with a VIN to boot! I have the same email for my Porsche account and the one I used to communicate with my SA. I'm guessing Porsche must have linked my order to my Porsche account based on the email, name, address, etc.

Shown here is my original "final" build in GT/Truffle. I just sent my final build to my SA today so I expect the app to show the image of my new build at some point? The app is also telling me that my build is locking soon. This is great because I won't have to badger my SA every time I want to see my car's status.

Maybe once the VIN is created it links to the account? However, I have yet to see anything link to my account.. but this would be incredible! I’ll ask my SA tomorrow about it.

Thanks for sharing... did a password reset via my email and was able to log in and view my C4S.

The VIN is for your previous Porsche, not your ordered 992. I thought the same, but you can click on it. VIN are not assigned until production starts.

I found the updates to be utterly useless, the status was still pre-production the day I took delivery. Might just've been a fluke though of course.

I've previously ordered a 991.2 GTS and now have a 992 in build and can't see either of them in the "My Porsche" app.

Very odd!

My SA wrote me this, "There is currently no way to track the vehicle until it becomes track-able on the ship from Germany"

Yes the ability to track seems to be different from region to region which seems very odd. They all get made in the same factory.

It means the only way to get updates is to bother your SA and I find theyre typically busy people so getting responses once the deposit has been taken can be challenging.

Would be nice if the My Porsche tracking worked for everyone.

That’s unfortunate.

On the bright side. He just followed up saying it shipped a couple days ago!

It is on the GLOVIS COSMOS

Looks to be floating around north of Germany.

So I guess now I can have some fun tracking it

Tracking the GLOVIS COSMOS is harder than I thought. It looks like the ship is doing circles in the middle of the North Sea. Doesn’t really show any sort of scheduling for dock dates and such. Anybody have a preferred tracking for marine vessels? It seems like there are hundreds, and it doesn’t show much other than current location.

Don't have vessel assignment for my car yet, but have some experience in tracking a previous order. All of the tracking services I have tried to use have a free and premium service. The free service will only give info on position for a short time after leaving and before arriving at port. To get real time tracking all across the route requires paying for premium. You are probably seeing the last available position based on the free service.

Thanks for the advice guys.

So should I just get the app for $4.99 and will that show voyage data? Or do I get vessel plus? (see screen shot)

Have not used it since my last Porsche order in 2016 and it seems to be different than then. So I’m not much help. Will be tracking though come February when mine is shipped.

My VIN just loaded into My Porsche app. I reset my password and everything loaded on. It even has a connect code that I can use when the car arrives.
