Configurator Discussion and Fun

I actually prefer the stretched out and sleeker look of the 992 and the roof line looks longer also, giving it a more racy look like the GT3. Other than that dumb electric shave looking shifter I think the new car is pretty awesome looking. Really looking forward to seeing what the new Turbo models will look like along with the GT3 and GT3RS on this platform and hopefully they change that atrocious looking shifter by then. The performance specs of 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and 190 mph top speed of the new 992 carrera 4s is on par with a 991 GT3, which is pretty amazing, so the future is looking bright.

But yeah, they need to update to today's standards stat.

I can't get 3D to work either. The unity player update they give a link to says "no longer supported" on Unity's site. I haven't been able to load 3D since I updated my Mac to whatever the latest Apple OS is. Sucks.
Only interested in MT, so waiting to see how long it takes to be available.
Cupholder looks at least as bad as the PDK amputated popsicle stick.
Love the green option, finally. That may put me over the top when the manual becomes available.

I imagine the green will be matched with the truffle interior as typical launch car. Seen that before, British racing green with beige interior on the 997, Miami blue on the 991.2, gold on the 991.
Tedious marketing. Cars will sit in the lot for a while...

Green truffle brown is the best color combo. Lots of #makegreengreatagain pent up demand for green Porsches.
I think I the gentian blue and dolomite Silver will be a lot of launch cars as well.
But homestly, launch cars are a tough sell regardless of color because they tend to be very high MSRP loaded with options.

There were no non-PTS greens in any 991. I’m thinking of ordering one as soon as MT becomes available to get Aventurine Green, the ‘95 993 launch color in US.
Still miss Anthracite as well, but browns appear to be out.

Does it come standard with shift paddles?
I ask because I noticed on the configurator, if you select the GT wheel it makes a point to say with shift paddles. Makes me wonder if they are not included with the standard steering wheel.
