^ This. Or, I'm thinking about taking my GT3T with me 6ft below. Or rather a Thelma/Louise moment, when I anyway can't drive anymore b/c age, sight loss etc...

We were at just 600 when my T was born on 25 OCT... So, max I think will be @ 900 total for the 991.2 T. And my jury is still out on a 992 T or even a 718 T until more firms up. Welcome further input if folks out in P land know more, of course.

The 992 rear end in the spy shots was hideous but after seeing detailed pics after the reveal I think the entire package is quite sharp and will do well especially with the new pair of green colors on the configurator today.
Sorry guys but 991 values are going to do their usual descent lower and drop off a cliff after 3 years as this 992 is not significantly different than the outgoing models. But hey why cry about it... that makes it better for those of us looking to pick up a used 991.
I don't think we are going to have a "you better get the 993 before the new model comes" situation until Porsche moves to a 4000lb pure EV or Hybrid situation.

The hybrid version will be the last nail in the coffin of the 911 ethos. With the 992.2 they will have finally achieved the plan from 40 years ago to kill the 911 and replace it with the 928, albeit rear engined.

Totally kewl! My 991.2 S is a rocket like the 992 without the disastrous interior with all its crowding sharp lines and misplaced switches. What's up with that center console!!!? Does it light up or is it just cheap black plastic to put finger prints on. And the area around the Nubbin/Shaver is that for collecting coins? What happens when I go to change the fan or temp and I bump the Nubbin will I shift into the wrong gear and run over my dog by accident? Did they really put the volume and channel changer beside the Nubbin? What!!? Are those heat and cool seats switches from a 986? If I drive a Manual do I rest my arm on the giant Slurpee in the cup holder?
IS THIS the finished product?

991.2 values won't be toooo affected immediately, but will start to see increased discounts as less of a buyers pool show up. 2018 U.S Carrera numbers have been very low as is, as Porsche gave dealers minute allocations. The vast majority of 2018 911 sales are from GT3's (first time ever the GT3 is outselling the Carrera for a year, as far as I know).
Porsche aren't dumb, they knew market would be soft leading up to a new model, so they adjusted accordingly. Most allocations for 2018 have been SUV's and GT cars.
As for used, who knows, but the 991.1 will certainly be benefitted as now not only the last of the N/A cars, but compared to the 992; a 250 lb lighter raw and analogue sensory experience.
