If we see a 992 911T, it will be at the end of the generation to help sell cars -- just as we saw with the 991.2 T.
It won't be naturally aspirated. It may well just be a Base Carrera engine with a manual and some of the options previously limited to the S cars.
Hey, again, just like the 991.2 car. :P

Well have to see if PAG even follows through with a 992 Carrera T. Despite the obvious interest of some RL members, overall the 991 T did not sell well.
From the R&T article "At a claimed 3298 lbs, the manual 992 Carrera S is 84 lbs lighter than the PDK equivalent"
No manual on base, if you want one, you need to spend a lot more money and get a much heavier car. Ouch!
Uh... not sure what you mean
Base Carrera PDK - 3354lbs
Carrera S PDK - 3382lbs
...that's 28lbs... 28lbs does not constitute a "much heavier car". For bigger brakes and more performance options, it's an incredibly tiny weight penalty. Heck, that difference can come down to gas in the tank or wheel selection.
The Carrera S manual actually weighs less than the Carrera base, and gives you bigger brakes and a performance oriented option sheet.

Sorry, I was thinking 991.2 C2 7MT to 992 C2S 7MT manual is a big jump in price and weight.
Lets see Porsche roll out a 992 911 E Targa Heritage Edition. That would be cool.
Allows the T to retain a limited run and creates a new limited run with the E.
If people want Porsche to make a 992 T, it would be nice for folks to buy up the existing new 991.2 Ts sitting unsold on dealer lots.
It looks like 8 total new 2019 Ts remain on lots across the US.
Only 2 are manual.
One manual is lava orange the other miami blue. These both have the 50lb sunroof.
The other 6 are all PDK cars.
There are also 8 brand new 2019 GT3 cars for sale on lots.
There are 201 pre owned 2018 and 2019 GT3s for sale in the US.
There are only 20 pre owned Ts for sale in the US.
8 manual pre owned Ts for sale in the US
60 manual 2018/2019 pre owned GT3s for sale in US.
Not sure why there is concern a few off specd Ts remain available. The same
is true of the GT cars - only there are 10X the 991.2 GT cars available for sale in the US.
Much less for the GT3T of course.

The last T wasnt NA. Theres nothing to suggest that the new car will be.
Porsche dropped a NA 4.0 6 cyl into the 718 GTS to reignite interest in the car for the US market. 718 sales have sucked here.
To be clear, this is an engine that makes less power and less torque than the 992 base Carrera. You dont want that engine in a 992 that weighs 400-500lbs more than a 718. The resulting car would be more along the lines of a modern day 912 than a 911T slower than a Base Carrera.
I dont understand how the 992 T became a sort of tabula rasa for RennListers wishes, but here we are.
Heck, maybe Porsche should be building an actual 912 as a narrow body 992, manual only, no PASM, ducktail fixed spoiler, NA 718 GTS engine, manual sport Tex 4 ways, physical gauges, sunroof not available, radio delete standard, optional 7 PCM screen, optional simplified rear seat pads ala BMW i8, no cupholders, eliminate soundproofing for cost savings and weight. 18/18 wheels with sidewalls and readily available cheap rubber. Simplified option sheet. Can be specd with base steel wheels under the presumption the owner would buy something else.
...darnit, that car would probably sell like hotcakes. LOL. Its basically the car that a lot of folks actually want. 🤪
Guy talks smack about tabula rasa... Then proceeds to tabula rasa...
Porsche has pretty much said the 4.0 NA will not be redesigned to cram it into a Carrera. Does that mean no future Carreras with an NA? No, but given that they are talking about hybrid models, I find that much more likely given the times, demands, and the NA / Motorsport Division ties in the 911.
One thing to put the detuned 4.0 into a 718 to revive interest, sales. A whole other to take sales away from the cash cow Motorsport cars and give them to the "lowly" Carreras. Personally, I don't want a 992 T, but Porsche is never going to give me what I want. Nor should they. That's up to me to make happen.
