Default initial allocations

For the upcoming 992, should I expect to pay an ADM and/or initial allocations going to preferred customers? Market seems pretty strong for new 991.2 in manual, so was debating just waiting for the 992. If I have to deal with ADM or sit around until preferred clients get their cars I'll probably just go for it now. not sure how things were when the 997 or 991 were first released.

this is a very good question, usually (in europe) they don´t ask for such initial payments. How the importeur is allocating the cars to the dealers for me always was a mistery. nevertheless, the bigger dealers will usually get the cars first...

anyone of you got feedback from your dealer, when the cars should be ready for delevery? Info I got was launch is February, first deliveries March/April 2019 ...

If there's an ADM on the 992 C2/S I'm done with Porsche. I'm unwilling to play the BS game on the GT cars anymore. ADM on the "regular" models will force me over to McLaren or maybe an R8 which has been tempting anyway.

some people pay ADM's on the "special" or GT cars, but the majority of people pay MSRP for GT's and get discounts on the standard models.

ADM for a standard 992? No, I don’t think you need to worry about that.

I would expect a discount with heavy options any dealer would be glad to take my money.
i would wait a bit , don;t have to be the first.

yesterday a dealer called me to put down $1000 deposit towards the first 992, I told him there is no reason to do that and I would wait for the c4S to come out.

that's why I ask, local dealer telling me a 2018 base 911 with 8k miles warranty punched a year ago that 4% off is a great deal I need to jump on it. no idea how the Porsche market is for new releases for standard models.

On a used car that been at the dealership for a year, "great deal" can only be from the dealer perspective.

I would have pissed my pants laughing at that dealer. The guy who bought that car new probably got more than 4% off. I’d start at 15% off.

That is not a great deal for you...order a new 991.2 for more discount than 4%!

There will be no ADM for a 992. MSRP or very slight discount initially. That's it.

I don't think you are going to find anything different with McLaren (but maybe Audi)

I was already told no ADM by a dealer that regularly charges ADM on GT cars, so I don't think you should have an issue. I'm unwilling to buy one new though given how good of a deal you can find on a 1 year old one though.

I don't see how a dealer can say anything at this point since they don't have an idea of how many cars they will get, what they will cost, etc. and most importantly, how much demand there will be.
