can you explain how it is a backwards step? The C2S seems a quantum leap forwards.

From a performance standpoint no question 992 GT3 will be better than 991. But, IMO, every new iteration of the 911 they dial out more of the driving/connected experience. I also loathe the cosmetics of the new rear end and interior. Not a fan at all. The car keeps getting bigger too. Again, all personal preference, no doubt it will be a great car, just different strokes for different folks.

Porsche will find a reason to make one want to upgrade. That being said they are pushing the envelope on pricing and that might make a big difference to many.

I skipped the 992.1 list and went straight for the 992.2 list. I can't see myself being bored of my current 991.2 GT3 in 2-3 years and don't think I'd want to part with it that soon. But I feel the 992.2 is when they'll perfect the platform and at that point (5 years away) I'll probably be ready for something new.
