What was the problem with the frunk ? What causing it
not released using the frunk release button or the keyfob? Is the issue (i.e latch mechanism) getting fixed/replaced as well ?
If i were you i would not reject the car yet, but asked them a new painted bumper. (Decide after you understand what they willing to do to rectify this situation)
If i spent $250k on a car it better not have that kind of damage. That dent/depression is going to be “front and center” everytime you’re looking at the front of the car.
i know its not possible to control the universe and expect everything perfect all the time, but that dent/impression must be gone if i were to take the car home.
yes i understand something might happened on the way home even without this incident, but the principle of accepting a damaged new car that cost $250k just doesn’t sit well with me.
Different price, different expectation. For this price bracket i will also expect better treatment/resolution from the brand-marque’s dealership.

This will not show up on Carfax, It wasn't caused by an accident. And I imagine this blemish, if that's all it is, can be removed with some rubbing compound in 10 minutes. I've seen them rub on a Targa Heritage Edition on the showroom floor to remove a mark caused by a customer.

I’ll take that banged up POS if you don’t want it

I’d tell them to repair it in whatever fashion they deem appropriate and if you approve of the repair you will take the car with some additional compensation.
I picked my car up 2 weeks ago and didn’t see some blemishes in the clearcoat under the showroom lights. I spotted them as soon as i got out of the car in my driveway, but it was too late as i had already paid for the car. What really pissed me off was that they had clearly tried to buff them out unsuccessfully as there was buffing marks on the trim. Honestly, I would have walked from the deal if i had seen this before finalizing as i am stickler for cosmetics and i felt that I should have been informed of the issue. My detailer got most of it out and the PPF hides what remains pretty well. I am waiting on an offer of comp from the dealer.
That said, the reality is that I am sure to get a few marks much worse than these tiny blemishes during my ownership. If the comp is fair, I’ll forget about it. However, I will look at my next car outside or in better lighting before handing over the check! I’m also surprised that Porsche lets blemishes in the clear pass QC. These were similar to tiny solvent popping spots in one small area of the roof.

I’d need a significant concession to take the car.

Maybe because I'm far too poor to afford $250k cars, but significant concession? Like what? 50k discount?
Aside from 2 very slight marks on the lip, I can't see a damn thing.
That said, fine, it's annoying. Have them replace the bumper cover on their dime and take the car home.
Beyond maybe some free floor mats and some coupons for service, what else do you want?
From the way everyone talks on this forum, there are hundreds of rejected brand new 911s sitting around somewhere

OMG, this will NOT hit Carfax. This type of crap happens 100's of times a day across all the brands. They fix/sell and majority of the time No one knows. There not required to disclose unless the damage cost exceed certain % (I forget amt). Anyway, also keep in mind, they will fix regardless and sell this car, in probably less than a day if you don't buy it. This sucks for sure but much better in a bumper that metal body panel. They can truly make this disappear with small repair. Let them fix, ppf it and enjoy. Car is amazing
