You should see the lawn chair defensive types in corvette forum. I think our defensive types here are a tier or two classes higher.

I am genuinely surprised by this. I thought my E63 was an amazing combination of comfort & power, but, when I started driving the TTS, I couldnt believe how comfortable it was even in Sport Plus. I find myself just taking the TTS everywhere now. I cant imagine the Corvette magentic ride to be that far ahead.

Im stage 4, 1000-1100hp crank, depending on fuel.

Such a boring, emotional lacking car, I almost fall asleep every time I drive it, yawn

That must be one hell of a ride!

I've been watching all the ESMotor cars on youtube and I reached out to ESMotor here in Vaughan. Im so tempted but my CPO warranty keeps me from pulling the trigger.

Speaking for myself, I didn't buy a Turbo S to get attention but to have some serious fun behind the wheel of a great car that really does it all from a driver's perspective, imo.
Comfortable, can be tuned to be amazingly quick and great looking, again, imo.
The ZR1 was designed to be the ultimate factory Corvette and they've pretty much achieved that.
Looking forward to the instrumented testing.
Do I want one?
No, not interested, just not a vette enthusiast anymore, but I can understand why some may like them.

Vette's having tranny issues @-500hp.... doubling that won't make them go away.

Everything remains to be seen. You gotta admit, 1,000+ HP on pump gas is impressive, whether it's a stock ZR1 or a highly modded TTS. I'm not an EV guy but the mild hybrid technology is an engineering feat. Exciting times ahead!

my god the snobbery.

oh noes, the stitching on the door panel isn't micrometer straight in my 1,064 hp affordable supercar.

I wonder how you people feel when mclaren, ferrari, etc owners say, "oh well its only a porsche." Its so dumb as it completely disregards the excellent work done by other companies.

In fact, from a racing perspective, Chevy has been eating porsche's lunch for a long time in endurance racing.

Agree. I have a TTS and recently purchased a C8 Corvette Z51. My wife, who has always hated Corvettes, prefers the C8. Much more comfortable she says and loves having her own little pod to sit in. I continue to be impressed with my new Chevy!

(my zr1 was heavily modified and was over 1000hp) I am really considering going back when the new one launches but I think the price will be a big factor to that. I can't justify the ~$250k I paid for the porsche on a corvette. $200k or a bit over I can justify. I guess time will tell.
You can upgrade the turbochargers in the porsche, do some tuning, intercooler, etc, and you should be able to get really close to 1000HP or even over.

The TT/TTS is scalpel like and fast. With bolt-ons and a tune, it can be a monster. However, I understand when some TTS owners say that it’s more exciting driving a Z06, ZR1, something with a V10 or V8, etc. Big blocks are special, especially these days. The 6 in the TTS just doesn’t sound good to my ears no matter what you do to the exhaust. The M3CX with just a valve controller sounds better. JMO. BTW, let’s not start another “exhaust thread”. That horse was already beaten to death.

comparing substantial mods to bone stock is not really apples to apples.

You sound like a pissed off Kia owner.

You miss the point, The new ZR1 is a factory tuned Z06. Tuned is tuned.
