2025 Corvette ZR-1 = Game On

60 to 130mph bone stock at 5.0 seconds vs 6.8 seconds is impressive. DME will be Super Locked so mods will be elusive, if at all.

I was curious to see when we would see the first post about the new zr1. I was shocked to see some of the numbers on it. I went from a 19 zr1 to my current TTS. While I love the TTS I have to admit that the "adrenaline rush" that I had with the zr1 didn't carry over to the TTS and I miss that. (my zr1 was heavily modified and was over 1000hp) I am really considering going back when the new one launches but I think the price will be a big factor to that. I can't justify the ~$250k I paid for the porsche on a corvette. $200k or a bit over I can justify. I guess time will tell.

I also went from a C7 ZR1 to a new TTS. It's two different worlds. My ZR1 was also modified and under acceleration sounded like an angry gorilla screaming in your ear. My TTS has some mods but it's not as menacing looking nor as exciting. But it's certainly refined and quick. A friend just got on the list for a new ZR1 and I'm considering the same. I love the TTS, but maybe it's time.

You guys spec your TTS like a grandma car then complain it isn’t sport car like… TTS and vette are two totally different segments. Vette is Chevys answer to the GT2RS.
light weight package, stage 4 M engineering, exhaust, no cats, 1000-1100hp, 500lbs lighter, Awd, mid 4s 60-130…
if you modded your vette, mod your TTS??
The interior on those vettes is terrible, how it’s wrapped around the driver and separates you from the passenger side like that. However, the performance and 1000+ hp stock, LOVE IT.
Be interesting how locked down the ECU will be, I think OEM are going to make it harder to tune these new cars. Is the recent vette tuneable yet?

To me the appeal of a ZR-1 is that it is a 1,000 horsepower car ! with a factory warranty.

I love P-cars but the 911 isn’t the sexiest thing out there. It’s often referred to as a glorified Beetle. I guess I like Beetles. I was never a Vette guy but the new ZR1 & Z06 got my attention. I can see myself in a tux or a T-shirt & flip flops egressing from a Vette! Who cares what others think. Life is too short to live worrying about other people’s views. I love ‘merica!

Race Car
If I’m closing my eyes and choosing solely based on the sound at WOT, it’s not going to be a Turbo S.

Are the Corvette and Turbo S really the same drivers?

I’m not loyal to one brand. I’m not saying that you are but certain enthusiasts feel strongly about a certain brand. I remember a few members on Rennlist expressing derogatory comments when I sold my 991.2GTS for an R8. To that, I say you do you. The R8 is the only car that I’ve kept for more than 3 years. It’s going to be in my stable for a very long time. Different strokes for different folks. If taking interest in the new ZR1 makes crazy, I guess I’m uno loco muchacho!

people in here have the wrong idea. the Z06 is far more comfortable and poised than a Turbo S. Porsche doesn't have anything that can touch Chevrolet's Magnetic Ride. Visually its flashier and its never going to be apples to apples on Porsche build quality (although thats suffering these days too), but its no less usable unless you're putting a 5 year old in the back of your TTS.
