im in a similar boat as others. have a 992 tts and a gt3t on the way. i plan on keeping both for 1-2 years maybe longer to see which id want to keep long term. maybe it will be both or just one. whichever i grab the keys to the most. i don't think the gt3t will ever satiate my love for crazy power and torque. that's tts all day. the tts will likely never give me that visceral racecar feeling im used to, like with my current track focused screaming high revving v8 with a 7k redline. im hoping the gt3t has that covered. we'll see. we are all so lucky to have this discussion.
good luck in the decision op.

Candidates for trade in are 991.2 C4S cab, 992 GT3, and 992 TTS.
Reason to keep the cab is that the wife really likes it, and it's one of only two convertible we have.
Reason to keep the GT3 is that I got it for MSRP and dealer will only give MSRP for trade in, but the car is worth a lot more than MSRP, and the build is exactly what I want because I was able to configure it.
Reasons to keep the TTS are:
- The beastly performance is fun and addictive
- I love the unique build of the car
- Trade in now would mean depreciation of $16k on the car (accounting for sales tax credit) after driving the car only 4k miles
- I've only had the car for a year, and would like to own it for at least a few years; I haven't had my fill of it yet
- The car is low key enough that I can drive it to work
- When I drive the car to and from work, knowing that it's the top dog 911 road car, the car reminds me that I'm the executive that I am and provides a feeling that I've 'made it' in life (I'm not insecure and needing a car to validate me, but I can acknowledge that the car does have this effect on my psyche)
- If I trade this car in now, I don't think I'd ever get a 992 TTS again, because I doubt that I could find another one at a similar price with a similar build, and I'm not interested in the heavier, more complex, faster, and more expensive 992.2 hybrid version
Reasons to trade in the TTS are:
- Then I can keep the cab and GT3
- My McLaren feels just as fast as the TTS, and has better handling, ride quality, and sound
- For a fun weekend drive, my 991.2 3RS is more fun to drive, so there's really no reason to reach for the TTS keys for that kind of drive
- It doesn't really matter which car I drive to work, because the drive is nothing special (mostly highway) and only 15 mins
- The TTS is fantastic on track, but uses up brake pads too quickly on the track, so if I trade it in, maybe I can get a 992 TT with regular brakes that I can use on the track (but I have three GT cars for the track, so I don't really need a TT as a track car)
I'm really struggling with my decision ...

Sounds like you should trade in the TTS.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to keep my 992 TTS, because I like the car. Based on market value, it hasn't depreciated much in the past year, even with my putting over 4k miles on it, but I'm ok with it depreciating in the future. 992 TTS is a car I can drive to work every day, and it's reasonably quiet and comfortable when cruising, but breathtaking when I can blast it.
I wouldn't enjoy driving the 992 GT3 to work, for me it's a track and weekend car, not a daily driver. But I'm also keeping the 992 GT3, mainly for financial reasons. I got it at MSRP for $207k, and dealer will give MSRP for trade in, but the market trade-in is around $260k. No way I'm giving up more than $50k in equity in the car.

On the Touring I like the added rarity, and I also just bought it a little over a month ago. Seems kinda foolish to part with it so soon, plus the market should look well upon the Touring in the next year or so. New GT3 not until 2026 at best. I will reevaluate my Porsche status in Spring 2025.
The dealer that offered the Turbo allocation (non-S) was also mandating a $20k package to order the car: full PPF + ceramic, maintenance plan, Deluxe tire+wheel, etc. etc. Well, I don't care about a maintenance plan and I can get Tire+wheel at better pricing. Leaves a tad of a gouging feeling. Plus it's not a Turbo S and I don't feel that giving up a Touring for a non-S is a smart move at this point. The Touring is a fabulous machine (as are Turbos)- so a hard decision.
There's also a few things about the Turbo that bother me: the PDK to me is not a step up over the 991.2 TTS, at all. In fact I have found it slower. It's also a lot heavier. I hate the tach in the TT and the fuel tank is not big enough (a nit, I know).
The Touring has two things that can't be argued: the 4.0 liter and the double wishbone. It's just what I prefer at this point.

I think it's different strokes for different folks. I don't use the GT3 as a daily, I have a comfy SUV (and low cost) that I drive to work.

I too think that, overall, the 992 TTS and 991.2 TTS are about equally good cars. 991.2 feels a bit smaller, more analog, more tossable, nearly as fast. 992 feels like a higher performance level overall, but feels bigger and heavier. I had a 991.2 and 992 at the same, and had a hard time deciding which to trade in. I still miss the 991.2 and may get another one at some point.
The GT3 Touring however feels like a small car when I drive it...I'm not sure if it's because it's lower to the ground + no huge wing, but that's the feeling it gives me.

But every day driving the TTS is beyond perfect and far superior so I ordered a TTS instead.
