Airbox intake systems
Which one does everyone think is better? I'm leaning towards the Do88 due to the cone style filter and box redesign having more volume, i would imagine. I'm sure both are an improvement.

I am looking at these now too!
trying to eliminate any restriction before the turbos to try get some more boost.
The do88 do look like a much larger air filter element?
Has anyone tried these?

I know the APR are fairly new, but I had no idea about the DO88 setup. Did it just come out?

Do88 uses a larger cone filter which is nice. (It appears)
One thing I did not know, the intake air is from the intercooler opening too, along with the opening on the rear fender! I didn’t realize that at all, I thought all the air came from the rear fenders.
do88 shows a graph with pressure drop, does anyone understand or can explain how that works? Turbo is sucking in air with less restriction there is less vacuum psi?

I hope to install this week, and will post photos of the install and parts. I'm running ME stage II, Apropovic Ti with 200 cats, CSF intercooler on 91 tune . . adding the Do88 intake "Y" and their turbo-side tubes plus the APR intake kit next . . .

What are the prices?

2500-3k. USD. Not cheap.
especially for us Canadians that get whacked on the exchange rate and fees.

OK - started the install last night - I'm installing the APR carbon intake system and the do88 turbo side pipe set see:
https://www.do88performance.com/en/a...ipe-kit-2.html
Overall, the APR and do88 items seem of the highest quality - very nice layups on the APR carbon intake system.
The first issue I encountered is that the new do88 tubes are significantly bigger than stock, and thus are a tight fit in the new billet brackets on the APR kit - the solution is to drill out the plastic side of the bracket with a 5/16" drill to allow better alignment, and to use a new hex 4mm bolt - the screw that comes with the APR kit is too small.
Last night got everything disassembled and the right side airbox converted - tonight should finish everything up, including the do88 "Y" pipe, that looks to be quite a challenge to install as buried deep behind the throttle body. As a side note, with airboxes removed, it's an ideal time to replace spark plugs, or at least check the gap as recommended by ME - I installed a new set of "pre-gapped" plugs that I purchased from ME even thought the car has around 2,000 miles. The old plugs looked new, so I will clean them up, regap, and keep as spares. Also good time to change the oil, so will get that done as well. I'll post some more photos of the install tomorrow.

Would have been nice if one of us did a before and after dyno or perhaps a 60-130 draggy, but the DA would need to be the same. Thinking, I guess you could check your logs and see if you get more boost, but I am not sure how that will work. If M Eng is requesting boost by PSI, you should be making what they request, unless there is a restriction before the turbo and the turbo isn't able to make the requested PSI. (this is what I hope solves my issue) or maybe it doesn't working like that. Perhaps IAT will be lower if the turbo doesn't have to work as hard to make the same boost.
Looks good F4, thanks for sharing!

Spent a few more hours tonight on the install - completed the air box mods and reinstalled. The APR parts fit well - no issues. Moved onto the install of the do88 intake "Y" - not a fun job!! Took about 2 hrs to install - way back in the engine compartment and connecting / disconnecting the smaller lines from the rear are a real PITA . . . but it all went together nicely and everything fit.
Tomorrow change the oil, and reinstall the bumper / rear deck components . . . end in sight . . .

@f4bones are you running stock turbos right now? I ask because I would like to know if you end of feeling a difference from the air box and boost pipes after. I have all of the other supporting mods and I'm not ready to pull the trigger on the turbos yet but am intrigued by the potential of these items in the interim. Thank you!
