This is my problem - I have a Stage 2 Tune, JCR Race Cats and Center... New Pilot Sport Cup 2's and in Sport Plus launch - I cant get the tires to hook up. It feels like my car jumps harder in Sport (4000rpm launch). 5000rpm launch is too much for the tires.

I have same same build and challenge...
You gotta let out a tonne of pressure on the Cup2s to hook...<30psi hot and it may hook up. Agree that Sport launch seems to work better.

I saw you leaving Jagare Ridge today.
Cup2s are ****, our climate is too cold and they require a lot of heat to loosen up. Drop them to 28psi will help slightly, but then handling will be very poor.
AR1 are the only tire that will hook on the street, or maybe an R888.
Wasnt me coming out of Jagre ridge today - there is another black with aurum wheel aurum decal 992 turbo s in Edmonton. In addition I have the stripe down the hood and across the roof as well. I was downtown and on whyte today however.
I am kinda choked that the tune and high flow system pushes the car beyond the tires limits. The sticky tires throw soo many rocks - it is not even funny - my barrels in the front are rock scraped already and there is no way to hold the power on launch. Ill likely go to P4S tires next. Wish they can hold a stage 2 - unfortunately not in the cards.

Ahh thought it was you for sure!
yes the cup2s throw rocks so bad. The AR1 don’t seem to do that nearly as bad.
Incredible driving by David Donohue this year at the 102nd annual Pikes Peak International HIll Climb. This car posted a time of 9:49.429. which was the fastest car in the Time Attack 1 Class and also the fastest Porsche this year up Pikes Peak. This run took 7th place overall. Congrats to David who drove this M-Engineering tuned 911 Turbo R running M-Tuner up the mountain and to the amazing team behind this including Porsche Colorado Springs and BBi Autosport. Looking forward to next year's mountain run already.
