If this was a super high revving car...I would alter that a little bit but tbh nothing too different.
This is pretty close to what I do. I avoid launch control for the first 1000 miles or so. For the first 300-500 miles (basically two tanks), I try to ease up the RPMs from 4k. I avoid cruise control during this time if possible.

Even then, there is no data. It's mostly to appease the part of me that resists a complete rebellion to break in. Frankly, as long as the car is warmed up, you can probably just go to town right off the bat.

Luckily the meat of the power band is ~2500-4500, so that should make the process less painful than a GT car.

I drove another 400 km today doing everything by the book just to treat myself to launch control around 1400km.

Just couldn't hold back anymore. This car is FAF.

Got delivery Monday up north in cold country. No reason to get on it at below freezing.
Left for Florida, hit FL. Border and forgot how crazy the drivers are here. I had 1400 miles on it was time to let it take off.
Tommorow, taking it to the road course. Start to Wear out the P Zeros , replace with 265/325
‘Dunlop Race Max 2s. Also Tune Monday. 80 WHP more. Will post DYNO graph!

Tracked it yesterday hard. Let say IT IS BROKEN IN. Chase down a couple of Mustang Gt500 Shelbys .
991.2 GT3RS s , stayed with all day, 992 Turbo S faster on straights definitely
slower on curves, lap times approx the same. Wednesday, I will have tune and track again.
265/325 ??

When street tires can chase down cars that run on track tires, that's impressive IMO.
Will you go with Cup 2 or Cup 2 R if/when you change to help with corner speeds?

After reading the posts and googling/you tube video,

I think I’m going to do the following:

first 2 tanks of gas or 300 miles ( whichever occurs latter)

vary the rpms, keep it under 4K
no cruise control or constant speed
mix of city and and highway backroad driving
change the oil and filter

After that, I’m considering it “broken in” and going to do my first launch

taking delivery in less than 30 days.
