The writer has a romantic concept of a sports car. He wants some ornery, temperamental beast that kicks you in the *** and has a big personality. That's not what the TT/TTS is about. I have my 993 for stuff like that; the TT/TTS is supposed to be usable as a DD, as well as a weapon of mass destruction. That's what makes them great. Otherwise, I'd just buy a GT3/RS.

They needed some sort of excuse to put the C8 on top of the podium...

Exactly. American car magazines always fall over themselves on these nasty Corvettes. It's been like that for years. Corvettes are consistently graded on a curve. Do you think German or Japanese companies could get away with the trash that Chevy puts out? It was ridiculously bad in the 80s/90s. Motor Trend COTY in 1991 was a Chevy Caprice for chrissakes.

Never forget...

I don’t think they picked the C8 as the best drivers car. If you read what they said about it, the last line was “The C8 Corvette has the bones to win Best Driver's Car, but it's not there yet.”

Yeah, after reading all the articles it is probably going to the GT500. Anyway, we’ll know tomorrow.

Way better than the EVO challenge...that was a sleeper.

I love hearing Randy Pobst giggle on the track when I would be fearing for my life.

Nobody talking about Dunlop Race Max 2s, there better then MSC2 Rs and MSC2s, Stock on my GT3RS 991.2.. I have 992 TS coming in a week. What ever tires are on it, I will trash at the track .
And replace with 265/325 Dunlop

Which of course makes no sense.

Oh I’m wrong, it’s loud. There you go.

seems like they were really stretching to not give it to the TTS .... and did I read that the mustang was second place?? What???? Clear agenda

I tried to include the previous gen of each car for laptime comparison.

1.28,30 - Porsche 911 GT2 RS (Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R)
1.29,78 - McLaren 720S (Tyres: Pirelli P Zero Corsa MC)

I don't see a problem with the Evo winning over the TTS. The heart of a car is after all where the magic happens and with the Evo, it speaks louder to your senses.
