I don't believe it does anyhow. The GT/RS lines are more about driving engagement, purity and track focus. It's not only about the tires and lap times.

100% agree but if you own an rs you would be pretty pissed off if a turbo s keeps up on track with your 350k 2rs.

On PZerso it was just 0.6 secs of F8 Tributo which was on Michelin PSC2 tires.

It's a street car. Cup 2s on a TTS makes zero sense.

The BS is not available in the US in 2020 and not sure the 765LT was in time for this test but that's just my guess

Cup2 are not all that bad as street tires. I use the PSC2 as my street/wet track tires and NT01 for the dry track.

I mean it's doable - I had them on my GT4 that I daily drove. That said, the tire life is poor, wet performance is horrendous and you can't drive them in freezing temperatures. They take awhile to warm up before they come alive and *everything* sticks to them and gets thrown up inside the fender.

The TTS should be a four seasons, all weather car. I wish they had Michelin PS4s as standard, but to be honest the PZeros are perfectly adequate for street driving.

Except it’s not a car (dCoty) and they already have 2 other Porsches in the test. An M2 CS would have seemed more appropriate.

It does compete in some ways. If Turbo S is good enough, I will not get the new RS, for example. I will put RS-sized (265 and 325) MPSC2 on mine and will see how it works out. I'm sure it will beat 991.2 GT3 RS on most tracks on equal tires (not that it matters much) and probably even 992 GT3 RS, and even if it does not, it will be within the driver skill margin. Even 991.2 TTS is within the driver skill margin with the 991.2 RS, meaning that a relatively small difference in driver skill matters more than the difference in car performance.

clearly out to knock it, even though they couldn’t actually come up with a reason to do so.
