Similar build to my C2S works out to be ~$30k more for a TT.

A TTS is ~$30k more than the TT.

Porsche knows what they're doing.

I think the 992 Turbo and Turbo S could be the best TT cars Porsche has ever made. Where I thought I would keep my car forever I'm in great doubt at this time. Beautiful cars.

The dangers of playing around with the configurator too much -- "just a bit more, that isn't that much in the grand scheme of things, ...." and half an hour later you are staring at a $250k Turbo S build

I think for 30 k delta , the jump from c4s to 911 base turbo in terms of handling feel, the initial thrust and looks Is higher than from a 992 turbo to 992 turbo S

I am starting to agree. i really love my car but the 992 TT looks to be a winner. And straight out the box with PSE, PASM etc. Many of the things you had to "mod" the 991 for, may not be necessary with the 992. I just bought a vacation house - so this will slow down the 992 TT purchase - but i think i will end up getting one - hopefully in a year or so. The regular Turbo is great value especially when compared with what a brand new 991.2 TTS cost. I tend to not need "frilly" options so i could always consider a very basic 992 TTS. Basic and TTS don't typically go together as it comes pretty loaded right out the box. But just a few options and it will be "perfect" for me. Like Burm, PSE, PASM and not much more.

This is basically what I did. I cant justify 220-230k for the TTS over my previous 4s...but 30k for the 992 turbo over my c4s seems like a REALLY awesome bang for the buck set. They REALLY priced the turbo smartly this time, and included a ton of options you used to have to pay for (AND you can get the TT without PDCC!!!! which is such a mammoth positive for me and thats not been doable since the 997 I think).Should be a stellar car.

I'll let you know later this year when the 992 tts is in the garage with the 991.2 tts, they moved my date up from spring to Nov.

Default Sport Suspension

Excellence article pointed out the sport suspension was very uncomfortable on then highway. After owning a GT3 Iam going to pass on this option.

Drive a c4s with it first before you just take one journo's word on it...I've got it in my 992 4s and it's totally fine. Also, make sure its with the coupe vs cab as the cab has some different dynamics going on and I've heard some interesting ride stuff with it as well.

I’ve owned PASM and wished I had SPASM. It’s a sports car, and I thought the standard PASM was too “Cush” for me.
