Default 2022 GT3 or 2024 GT4RS

So I’ve had the GT3 for 15 months now and I’m getting the itch to move into the GT4RS.

I test drove the car and I thought it was spectacular. I was able to find a new GT4RS at a fair price.

Trading the 2022 GT3 (w/ 8k miles) in for the GT4RS will yield 40K over sticker trade in value for the GT3. I think that’s pretty good considering it’s two years old with the miles.

Any feedback on the market for a GT4RS?

Do you think it would be a bit more stable than the GT3 market over the next 24 months?

You should do whatever you think scratches the itch. If you are bored with the gt3 then get the GT4RS.

from a leverage perspective for a .2 gt3. Honestly I think you current gt3 holds more weight. They seem to be producing more and more 4rs and that market seems to have cooled a little. Reflected in the decreased adm people are seeing for a new or lightly used 4rs. The adm on current gt3 has decreased from its peak but still seems higher than 4rs. Obviously this is just an opinion so take it for what it’s worth.

Personally, I'd keep the GT3.

Life is short, if your plan is to be in a 992.2-3, why not try the 4RS in the interim. You’re still getting +40k over MSRP on your current car.

I agree with the others, the GT3 will carry more weight with a dealer even with the miles. Remember, Not a single person would pass on a GT3 allocation for a GT4 allocation.

GT3 all day. I think the GT4RS is a special car but you’ll always be able to find one and it’s not as “limited” as Porsche previously communicated. I would hold your gt3 until you see the .2 and decide then if you want to grab a .2 or go look for a 4rs. May lose a little of the value on trade in at the point but maybe not. Too much unknown on .2 gt3 to say for certain.

i turned down a .1 gt3, gt3t and a .2 gt3t allocations in favor of the gt4rs, so i guess its not "not a single person"

I was painting with a broad brush. " Very very very few " would have been a better choice of words.

Try the 4RS. I switched from a 992 GT3 and very glad I did. It ticks some different boxes for me than the 3 and it's used primarily for track. Two very different cars for sure.

I don't think they ever communicated that it was going to be particularly limited, and I was at the press launch for it. 982 RS and 992 GT3 / RS are all being built in bigger numbers than any of their predecessors. There's a lot of them, they are building as many as they are physically capable of building. Good news is that this means there's no reason not to use them for what they were intended. They won't be an appreciating asset for the foreseeable future given where prices still are.

Depends on what kind of driving you enjoy.
The 4RS is a much different experience and may not be all that "livable" compared to what you are used to with your GT3.

There will be a new GT3, unlikely we see a GT4 RS type of car again. Today’s 964RS, not fully appreciated at the outset.

Keep GT3 if it’s manual & also get the 4RS.
Two is always better then 1

The 992 GT3 is a better, more advanced car. I have both. 911's are just better than 718's.
