Just thought that as we begin to get our new S/Ts, we may have comments and questions.

Really quite lovely on track. The lack of aero vs 3RS means you have to hustle the thing as it obviously doesn’t have the grip levels. But the manual box with less aero and the phenomenally responsive combo of the LWFW and NA motor really makes for wonderfully engaged laps and loads of fun. The sound is fantastic, and it has such a predictable and playful character. The entire package just puts a huge grin on your face. What a car. What an overall experience. sad that most will be low mileage queens, these machines truly come alive when pushed

My first question is: did anyone have problems with the lithium battery. The dealership had to put a regular battery in while they wait two weeks for the small lightweight lithium one. Getting car PPFd right now so it doesn't really matter.

I had mine for 3 months and no issues.

What happened to the original one?

Issues:

The alignment was off when I got it checked. The tech said this is common and many new cars come with a poor alignment from the factory.

white wheels are lot of work to clean after a track day.

I can’t stop driving it hard…. Just sounds and feels too good. It’s a issue.

The car came with it completely dead and they couldn't revive it. I could wait for the replacement or let them put in a regular battery so I could drive the car until replacement comes.

good point on white wheels and brake dust. How do they look in person? Would you do it again? When dirty, do they look terrible?

They look amazing and unique in person. I have them ceramic coated which helps. I would do it again as Im only going to track it rarely. It’s the molten rubber not the dust which makes it difficult to clean.

But since the brakes are ceramic composite they shouldn't make much brake dust.

The wheels make the car and show little to no brake dust. Check into the decals if you think you may ever want them. Tire coating stained my first set and with the VIN they were replaced. Another guy on this forum tried to order them but was having a lot of problems because they were not ordered with the car.
I would be curious how many ordered them. The shore blue is PTS in Europe. Great car!

The PCCBs in 992 generation cars use copper free pads which produce a ton of dust. In 1,000 miles my 992 RS produced as much brake dust our cayenne did in same amount of miles using steel brake pads. Unfortunately that gravy train has departed, PCCBs are not dust free. I’d be curious how the white wheels look after some miles in them.

Is the paint durable? Does anyone know if its powder coat? I bet its the easiest wheel finish to touch up.

My three other Porsches with PCCB show no brake dust that I've noticed. My Speedster and my Turbo S have black wheels though. My GT3 has neodyme but they don't seem to show anything either. To be fair I don't track any, but I do use for PCA drives that get going fairly fast with lots of braking.

Can any one of you lucky folks show me a picture of the Lithium Battery they come with. I'm wondering if its the same one that came with the 992s or if they upgraded it. They had some issues like JohnArpy mentioned that when they go dead some can't be revived. Then we can start looking at making a replacement for if that happens....

The lithium batteries in the 3RS’s had issues as well. They were POS’s.
