I have Clearplex on all my 911s and swear by it - I estimate they've saved me at least 3-4 windshields. I don't notice any distortions and a few gashes don't bother me knowing I can replace the film for far less than a windshield.

I'll ask my guys what they use. If it isn't Clearplex I'll suggest they try it.

How does one refrain from driving this car sitting in their garage for the whole weekend?? How did it go?

I finally got to drive it Sunday and it was great. I would say that it is definitely noisier, but in a good way. The ride quality is better than my 2024 GT3, and it feels lighter and more nimble. Got to drive about 50 miles on fairly twisty roads, but not over 90 MPH. Still admiring the interior so my senses were split between the interior, the engine, the clutch and the handling. I know I need to drive it more. I will say that the clutch really hasn't required anything new from my other manuals. It doesn't require as much gas from take off, but the rest seems similar. Haven't stalled it yet.

Yes, there is a sunburst distortion when wearing polarized sunglasses.
And once you notice it, you'll never stop noticing it, according to my PPF guys in Fremont, CA (Premier)
Not all that "durable" for the price, either.

As for the decals, it's always good to put the PPF OVER them.
Why?

Because when drying your car after a wash, your micro-fiber towel will start lifting up the edge of the P-O-R-S-C-H-E letters.

I don't notice any sunburst distortion while wearing polarized sunglasses. Durable? I still have ClearPlex on my 2023 911 and it has saved me 3 windshields, at least. It's time to replace it, but I'd say after 10 years that $500 was well spent.

Pics of my car finally getting through production. Also... question for everyone:

Are the rear tips the same as the GT3RS? I want to replace them with black tips. Also couldn't figure out how to find them on sun coast to order them if the RS's tips are the same.

Here's a picture. They are clearly chrome.

Not sure if I'm more envious of your Porsches or your pandemic inventory-levels of Bounty from Costco.

Lots of kids and grandkids visiting. That's why I need the Porsches. To take long drives.

For those that have both the ST and a CGT, how do they compare?
Is the CGT worth the extra million in terms of driving and ownership experience?
