Here it is driving on the street. Doesn't sound naturally aspirated/like the current 3RS to me.

if Mr. Blume (Oliver Blümchen aka "O-i-like Flowers) could get mentally over it - to not fulfill lambda=1 over the whole rev-range
i could imagine a:
1) T-HEV 9A3 (992.2 GTS engine) but with 9krpm+ for the 992.2 GT3 RS (lambda=1)
2) old-school BiTurbo polluter as non-Hybrid for a 992 GT2RS
also based on the names:
GT3 as technical benchmark / as the main / desirable racing-class.
GT2 more likely a plain and incomplex racing-series.
the GT2 class changed since 2017 - here are good explainations in german language: https://www.speedweek.com/spor…lasse...otorsport.html
or from the official sro webside: "A GT2 car features more outright power than a GT3, but is less dependent on its aerodynamics to produce the best lap times, making it more friendly to race for an amateur."
or Variant 2:
1) 992.2 GT3 RS as N/A as usual
2) 992 GT2 RS as T-HEV 9A3
Porsche would not be the bad guy - bringing a old school bi-turbo (which would be fun same as ZR1 with 1k hp - there exist some cleaning ladies gossip about 1k hp (but maybe even with the e-turbo "T-HEV")
GT2 RS would get more time for development - also figuring out the e-camber-adjustment (possible based on the 400V System which also the T-HEV uses). 400V enables also even more and precise active-aero chichi
im on the rack - how they will play out those two models !

There is no reason for Porsche not to squeeze out another 992.2 NA GT3RS, the gov. regs will allow it, especially if the 992.2 GT3 is right around the corner with their typical ".2" formula. They will sell NA GT3's until the very, very end.
Hoping next time around my name gets drawn out of the hat for an RS, at my local dealer "list". With 60+ 992.1 GT3RS's currently listed for sale on car gurus (at crazy prices, mind you), it's clear all the flippers are trying to make their money. That's more than all other generation RS's combined. Tells you all you need to know. Hopefully by the time the .2 comes around, alot of the hype will be gone and alot of actual buyers who intend to keep and USE the car as intended will get an allocation.
