Oh don't worry, if Harris is elected that's coming to a ranch near you.

I actually agree with you and shrimp, that’s my whole point here. People with that level of money don’t care about getting a gt2rs at sticker to try and make 50k measly dollars by becoming a used car salesman for Porsche via Porsche flipper

The other side of the coin is just as preposterous and you guys seem to be missing that point. No person with that kind of money would care to brag about getting a car at sticker nor would they care to buy things they don’t want to make a relative joke amount of money.

A vip is not winning in the end financially AND nor would they give a shtt if they actually had that kind of money to buy the 918 in the first place. Both are true

My situation is I will own this highly unusable gt3rs for a very small amount of time. I expect the car to be boring fairly quickly as you can only spend so much time at the track and pdk is meh to me, but regardless I’m going manual gt3 992.2 after, I have a very good relationship with my dealer has made this make sense. All things can be true, I still think you are a sucker to pay a huge markup on a gt3rs, I still think the car is pointless for most that buy it, and I think pdk sucks compared to manual and I think these are trading for about sticker in 24 months if history repeats itself on literally every generation before it with way smaller production numbers and a much less usable car.

But I Still don’t care, I will track it, I will try it out, I will have fun, and I will move on

Crazy my opinions are met with such hostility and offense lol

just hope everyone is having fun out there with their Porsches

Glad you will use the 3RS as intended. I agree with you in regards to manuals over PDK (do not agree that PDK sucks comparatively) but I don't see getting bored of a 992 3RS at it's limits on a track. The car is insane at or near it's limits.

The car will not get boring at the track at all! I am speaking to mix of 95% driving and 5% track time it will get as I will drive it most days on street, for my use case a GT3/GT4 manual is probably best. I only have so much time in the day and honestly the better I have done or maybe just getting older, the less "stuff" aka cars I have wanted to own so I am not going to have a GT3RS sit around and rot in a garage, not even for the money sake, it's just the another "thing" to deal with. I owned 5 at one point and I really want to get down to 2 tbh and just appreciate less, albeit a really epic less.

Traveling and being super nimble is imo the most enjoyable life, having extra cars here and there you rarely use kind of weigh you down imo.

I fully expect to break my personal best lap times at Buttonwillow and Chuckwalla by seconds with the 3RS.

Ok now that we had the usual VIP and ADM discussion can we go back to special 992.2 cars that are coming?

The GT3 is coming and then the RWD manual Turbo? Anything special coming in between them - personally I have no such info - or maybe more info about the Turbo?

Additionally I had confirmation about 1-2 months ago that the GT2RS has been “officially” announced internally but I now hear other rumors also.

P.S Neither the GT3 and the RWD manual Turbo are “special” numbered cars but for now they can really be part of the conversation until we hear for something more interesting

Besides the GT3, GT3RS, and GT2RS, they'll also build a Speedster and maybe another round of Dakars.

There was no internal info for the speedster yet, do you have any?

No cleaning lady info but just a strong hunch there will be a numbered Speedster at the end of the .2 run since they built one in the 991 series. Besides, it'll be an easy cash grab for Porsche with an MSRP around $300k since they'll only build around 2,000 of them.

I don't think the next Dakar will be a stand alone car.

The “White collection” Speedster just sold for 775k US. Should have kept mine lol.

They were around MSRP back before covid but I'm just not a convertible type of guy.

Same as i've been told. Will be a 992 'Cross Turismo' type package, less extreme than Dakar.

The white collection 911R sold for like $1.2 million...while 95% of R's are worth $450-600k, the other 4.9% are worth $600-800k (PTS with low mileage).

Even with the extremely low mileage of those white collection cars I cannot make sense of their sale prices

Don't let the outliers make you feel bad!
