Anyone have color regret?
Many of you have probably tired of me stating on various threads recently that I have an incoming GT3 Touring in a color (Gentian Blue) that wouldn’t be my first choice with an allocation — and that I have some (read: lots) of apprehension about it. While I know there are no “terrible” colors and these cars are all beautiful — I am a bit concerned about having buyers regret when the car comes in. Overall, the spec is wonderful - Gentian/Cognac Exclusive Manufaktur interior/Silver wheels/Manual….and delivery miles. Full PPF and Ceramic as well.
So, I was curious whether anyone else has been in a similar situation — and had apprehension about an incoming car and how it turned out. I’ll admit, this discussion is more for my consolation and entertainment as I pass the time and wait for the car to come in, and I don’t expect any real constructive advice (though I’m open to it :-)
Thanks in advance!

Gentian blue was my choice. I felt the same after I ordered. But the moment I laid eyes on it when I picked it up in Leipzig, it was far better than anything I had seen in pictures. I have absolutely no regrets with my spec and wouldn't change a thing if I got to do it again..... especially gentian blue. I opted for the chalk sofas.

Gentian Blue would have been very high on my list if...1- I could get an allocation and... 2- I was ordering a Touring. I think it's an amazing color and I have ZERO regrets!

great color but over the years i have gravitated towards lighter easier to maintain colors.
my GT3 is CWM and the GTS is IGM i like both and they show much less flaws.
lost track of how many black cars i have had.
Probably spent 2-3k on equp. 2-rupies 21mm orbital 1 flex power rotation orbital and a miwwaukee 18v orbital.
not to mention pads/compounds plus 100s of hours plus the OCD issues

I had color regret when I bought my 991.2 GT3, got White since it was a fair deal at the time and my second color choice. However, my goal was either Miami Blue or another PTS bright blue.
I sold the White car 1 year later to get another 991.2 GT3 in the spec I wanted, I guess its better to be patient but it was my first GT3, so I got inpatient lol.

When is your car coming in so we can stop hearing about it anyway? JK. Not really.
With that said Gentian is an awesome color. But if you don't like it you can always do something about it.

Without PTS, it’s a sea of monochromes or otherwise polarizing colors like guards, racing yellow, shark blue, rubystar — and gentian.
Basically, the best of the worst if you didn’t want a monochrome car like 90% of 911s.

No regrets here. While I love seeing and can appreciate most colours on this car, whenever I see mine I always think "damn that's a good looking car..."
