Yes this mod does bring that lightning fast response and all within the amazing rest of the 992 GT3 setup.

It transforms the car and experience; still civilized the 'chatter' etc. is minimal but the quick rise and drop in revs. is immediately perceived.

So, I made a video of JBravo23’s LWFW & clutch install vs my standard manual 992 GT3 and the difference is very very obvious to see…

I have a 991.2 Touring and 997.1 RS with 4.0 lightweight clutch and single mass flywheel and will look to sell both for 992 Touring and S/T kit … if this WORKS this will be a GAME CHANGER for 992 GT3 manual owners

That’s what great about this site. That’s why I joined. Not to debate what pts color holds more value. I always get my hands involved into things and enjoy doing so.

R’s are still 500k and not something I would consider trading the 992 touring for. I love the R and all but I would much rather spend 50k on my current car to enhance the driving characteristics. My favorite part of the s/t is the smfw and gearing. I’m willing to pay a fair adm for one yet I still haven’t been able to find one. I’ve tried. Reality is I won’t. Which is fine.

Most will sit in garages and cost a hefty adm. I drive the snot out of my car (9k miles) and paying 50-60k for this mod and some mag wheels interests me.

I guess we will see what if anything carries over to the 992.2 but based on the article that was written it seems it’s going to have a 4.0 with 48v hybrid assist???
any ability to source out OEM magnesium wheels for the (Super) Touring ? any magnesium alternatives for consideration or forged ie BBS FIR Evo

No, RS wheels are wider with different offsets.

That, alone, doesn’t necessarily rule it out. When we go aftermarket, we often go with wider wheels accompanied by more aggressive offsets. Somebody would need to try it to confirm. Maybe somebody with an RS will allow somebody with a regular GT3 to fit the wheels to their car to confirm fitment/rubbing.

Manthey Racing wheels are a pretty big weight savings and made specifically for 992 GT3 (by BBS, the best quality).

Yes, S/T wheels would also be a perfect fit…

So far no, but I believe they will be available soon enough. For me only issue is I don’t think the option to have them painted in neodyme will be available.

Whereas the mantheys you can get in multiple colors.

RS front wheels could work but not the rears. Too much poke.
