Suspension secrets makes a softer spring kit for the 992 GT3. Works with PASM and doesn’t require any suspension adjustment or calibration for it work. Keeps the height adjustability and everything

A bit OT, but...: Since you have the tools and probably also competence to judge: Do you think the 992S/T final drive would fit a 991.2 GT3 M/T? If so, how much labour (hours) would be needed to do the swap?

Yes!!! With the delta in pricing between my Touring and a S/T, spending some money to get the car right is not an issue.

Do you think any software updates needed too (keep engine from stalling with the light rotating mass or anything)?

I assume rev matching and speedometer will adjust naturally (I think speedo uses front wheels)?

I'd sell the touring and get a 911R.

Fun to talk about but I doubt anyone will actually do this to their GT3

Seriously guys? All of a sudden it’s impossible to change a clutch and flywheel in a Motorsport derived car? Cut it out. How many 997 GT3’s have a clutch from the 4.0 RS?

The issue here is the part is a redesigned bespoke part for the ST which will probably end up costing an ADM amount to get installed and you'll lose your warranty in the process, not to mention have to deal with potential programming issues given the incredibly sensitive nature of these current cars programmed parameters. A 997 lw clutch and flywheel setup wasn't really a big deal as from GT3 to RS it had already been developed tuning wise. Could they bring this tech into the next 992.2 Gt3 manual? MAYBE, but even that will be a whole thing. Hopefully they make something like that happen but who knows. If anyone wants a lwfw experience, grab a 997 gt3 RS or a 911r and rock out!

I just don’t think it’s that complicated. I could be completely wrong but we will know soon enough. Someone will do it.

That’s what great about this site. That’s why I joined. Not to debate what pts color holds more value. I always get my hands involved into things and enjoy doing so.

R’s are still 500k and not something I would consider trading the 992 touring for. I love the R and all but I would much rather spend 50k on my current car to enhance the driving characteristics. My favorite part of the s/t is the smfw and gearing. I’m willing to pay a fair adm for one yet I still haven’t been able to find one. I’ve tried. Reality is I won’t. Which is fine.

Most will sit in garages and cost a hefty adm. I drive the snot out of my car (9k miles) and paying 50-60k for this mod and some mag wheels interests me.

I guess we will see what if anything carries over to the 992.2 but based on the article that was written it seems it’s going to have a 4.0 with 48v hybrid assist???
