Watch the Hagerty video. Tesla did something impressive, no surprise.
I put a reservation down but I am over a million deep so… I’m just a musk unsecured creditor for now
Matte black doesn’t look bad at all
I’ve had a macan and cayenne (both base) loaner last couple weeks and they suck after driving a taycan. Less athletic, bad NVH, weak engines, takes a while to warm up in the cold. They will be good ev, but the base engine is all the negatives of ice and none of the performance benefits.
I love a good ice. The Porsche na 4.0, 3.75 tt, even 3.0 tt. bmw v8 and in-line 6. But most ice are far inferior to EV for what I want out of a car, either performance or usability.

I'm going to be selling my GTS sedan to a client of mine who wants it. We are talking about him buying it in the $120s (MSRP is $146k) as the car is about a year old and has almost 18k miles.

what color is this?
and yeah Tesla is the new Prius, you would be insane to not take a 7 series or S class or even just a lesser bmw/merc over a Tesla which are fairly sterile cars
I kind of really want an m2, I think the new one looks great and will probably pull the trigger the second they release the competition assuming it’s manual
I DD this for now (manual)

If one really likes cars, likes different experiences, is open minded as to where joy might reside be it in a Prius or a CGT, everything can be explored without the self imposed prison of judgment and oversimplification.
This isn't even a money thing ... some of the happiest car people I know own a humble and practical car to daily and move their family around, a spec Miata to race, an old beat up lifted Jeep or modified LR4 to get lost in the wild, or a slammed GTI, or whatever floats their boat. They could have one really nice car but prefer to have several cheaper ones, for variety and breadth of sensory experiences is one of the more appealing aspects of existence, be it in cars, food, and other things.
For me, after resisting the idea of it for a long time for the usual and tired 'gearhead' reasons, I decided to open my mind to it and take a chance and found the MSP has a place in my life, a place that adds a unique dimension that no other car I own or have owned has before. Is it everything one wants on a car? No, but I have never driven a car that delivers everything any more than I have eaten a meal that has all the flavors. The MSP does the unholy acceleration thing whilst being a comfy and quiet car to drive around to run errands that attracts almost no attention, which appeals to me. With everything else I am blessed to own being high strung, I really enjoy the contrast of a relaxing ride as a contrast, and it makes the other cars even more special to drive when I do ... sort of like the jumping in ice water after a sauna dynamic. I certainly wouldn't have bought one if I ever thought I'd need to charge it anywhere but home so the range thing isn't a variable that applies to me, if it did I would not have bought it. The most important thing for me is that it makes me smile every time I get on it, and it also makes me giggle to see all the wannabe dragsters meekly rolling away at red lights next to me in pre-capitulation not knowing that I have never raced anyone off a red light in my life and never would.
I get that it's not for everyone, and that everyone is entitled to their opinion ... but this one is mine, and I hope whatever you drive as a daily or otherwise make you smile.
