We did try this and the difference is the RS does get some power as the taillights flash when you press the unlock on the key, however door sill buttons are still non response even by holding it for 2 seconds
I'm still confused - so you've tired the procedure outlined in the RS manual and it does not unlock the frunk?

so you are saying factually:

1. the procedure as documented for the 2023/2024 911 GT3 RS does not work - and you have personal experience with this…
2. there is no procedure for unlocking the frunk with a dead battery on a 2023/2024 911 GT3 RS?

and the dealer knows this and Porsche Germany has no response?

As a matter of fact,it is known in the industry that these auto manufacturers are nothing but engineering design companies that " don't really make anything " ,almost every component comes from different suppliers all over the World and the company puts them together.
Getting back to the point, many companies that make battery maintainers/booster offer the " battery slow revival " feature : NOCO comes to mind,C-TEK,Schumacher etc.
Well then Porsche should have their manufacturers supply them with "OEM" battery tenders that have a "revival" feature.

Thanks for posting this heads-up, and once you resolve it, please post how you did it. Here is the owner's manual page on emergency hood release. Note the special GT3 RS instructions at the end:

Is that the correct charger? It doesn't say it supports Lithium or LiFePO4 batteries. Here's another CTEK that does say it works with LiFePO4:
Amazon Amazon

I don't have experience with either of these, so I'm asking here before I buy one. Thanks

Nope it sure isn't. The one you linked to is used by most 992 GT3 owners though (including myself).

To be honest I haven't checked to see if the one I've posted works with Lithium, the reason I've posted it was because it said it works with most batteries and it comes with the so called " Reconditioning " feature. The one you've posted does say it works with Lithium but doesn't have the " Recond " feature.

I've been using this one for my 992 911 Turbo S and my Porsche Service manager also indicated it similar/identical to the the OEM one from Porsche - so far so good

Amazon Amazon

it's even been tested in adverse conditions - in that last week we finally found "root cause" for a CEL and why my car "died" after only 2 weeks (that would only show when not trickle charging) that was induced by vampire drain due to a faulty $299 electronic's module…

6 months of using this charger zero CEL's - 2 weeks with out it and my CEL problems were back…
gory details here…https://rennlist.com/forums/992-turb...500-miles.html

I've already bought the 2nd CTEK for my RS

Pardon my ignorance, just curious,do all 992 GT3/RS/Turbo come with a Lithium battery from the factory?

I believe so yes - but I'm not 100% sure - I know this is the case for my 2020 Taycan, 2021 Cayenne and 2022 911…

Yup we have tried that procedure following the manual to a tee and no luck. Advising customers with these cars to either plug in a charger or leave the frunk popped in storage to avoid this situation for now.

Car is being towed into the dealer to see what the next step. We are unsure if it is this specific car's problem or not but not much sample data out there yet.

WOW indeed. Sorry to hear you are experiencing this but super appreciate the PSA for sure. I had to recently jump the fuse box Terminal A in my wife’s 991.1 Targa. I used a running car to jump/power the fuse box and while power connected to the jump in the fuse box on Driver’s Side was able to pull frunk release on sill. The Frunk did open for me as I did not know I was supposed to use the key fob. From there jumped the battery. The amplifier had gone bad and drained the battery while the car was parked and locked for a week.

THIS! Took me a while to realize that. But the NOCO works great in boost.

And, as someone else mentioned, important to have a very solid negative ground. Door hinge typically works.
