Hi all -- I've been poking around, and it seems there are two options for ECU tuning for the new GT3 / GT3 RS:

1. Mail your ECU and get a tune flashed (M-Tuner, Hydra, etc.)
2. Mail your ECU to get unlocked and then flash at home (Softronic)

Is this accurate? Does the first option offer major performance advantages over the second? I really like the idea of being able to change maps at home, but I'm unclear as to the tradeoffs here.

Unless the turbo s is different tune wise you don’t need to mail the ecm out. I have the m engineering tune and you download the ecm with the program they send you and you email it to them. They the. Write a file for you to upload yourself.

you're wasting your time ECU tuning a 992 GT3RS.

you should get a 765LT
