Default 2024 GT3

Anyone have any info? Is it going to be the 992.2? Or are they releasing nothing and waiting until ‘24. I’ve been on my dealer list 2nd(with deposit) for over a year now they haven’t gotten any(very small dealer).

Im assuming a change in gen would bring new allocations.

Any info would be appreciated. My dealer is left in the dark as they said everyone is.

definitely wouldn’t be the 992.2 GT3. They might make a few ‘24 992.1 GT3s, but many have said those allocations have already been given to dealers

Typically, it’s a 2-model year production (years 3 and 4) of a .1 of a generation, then a year off, and then 2 more years (years 6 and 7 of a entire generation or years 2 and 3 of the .2).

So, model year 2025 for US (in Fall 2024), if they stick to the script for the recent 7-year generations…

No idea if this has any validity. Just happened across it this morning...

Sounds to me like it'll have a mild face lift, all digital dash and possibly a quieter exhaust (per new sound regulations). I suspect the .1 will be a more desirable car than the .2.

Most people will prefer the extra 5-15hp in the .2, if there’s no additional weight…

Probably a little suspension tech inherited from RS too…

Also, it says introduced next year so won’t be model year 2024 in US (maybe in Europe for a couple months).

Thanks for all the responses guys. My dealer hasn’t gotten a single 911 allocation in about 8 months.

I know about the changes between .1 and .2. I’m happy with either.

Everytime I criticize Porsche on here I get a hailstorm of pushback.

Just wanted to say I appreciate everyone’s contribution.

Yeah there are no 24 models for the 992.1. Source is very reliable.

Most if not all allocations for 23 are also done I’ve been told.

All those 1st gens are gonna go way up in value based on this.

Yeah, CJ of Fresno Porsche has posted several times on the state of allocations since December.
Here are a few of his posts to give you an idea . . .

"They're making turbos and turbo S's all the way through the year and into next year potentially but we have not heard about next year yet, so just a guess. we were told GT3 was toast and got almost nothing for 2023 calendar year vs 2021/22"

And this is a post from him from Dec. 5th, 2022

"I just got back from Stuttgart, one of our clients took Euro Delivery of his Dolomite GT3 and while we where doing the factory tour- watching them build cars...it was a total treat. I've been there 5 times now and it never gets old seeing those guys and gals put together our little dream cars.

To address total production and overlap etc...dealers were given the 'entire calendar year of GT allocations' already. so, anything beyond this current allocation batch is definitely a 2024 but also probably built in 2024. I have a psychopath (said lovingly) client who is waiting til 2024 because 'he really wants his car to be PTS'. Our store got a lot less than I'd hoped for, and in terms of GT3 production from our allocation of 2023's they made ~80-90% of them as 2022's or this year in 2022 vs what we are getting in 2023...that slack is not entirely getting taken up by the 3RS- but by the Dakar (2500 units WW), the GTS, the Turbo/S, and GT4RS (made on same line as 911).

if you have a car coming be grateful and if you don't- just do more trackdays with whatever you have in your garage right now."

This made me laugh out loud, CJ.
