Though color opinions are subjective, Porsche knows what looks best on its introduction models. The RS is a high-performance car used primarily on a track. The offered standard colors conform to this purpose. The RS has exterior visual performance enhancements that highlight the true nature of the car. With the offered standard colors, the car looks aggressive and fast. PTS colors detract from this visual. They look pretty and cute—a far cry from what a car is intended to look like.

thank you. I truly needed a good laugh today. I agree because black truly shows off the “visual performance enhancements” of the car. They’re faster too and look fast. What matters most is being able to use the car. However everyone has different preferences and customers do like to personalize their vehicles to their own tastes/ personalities if given the opportunity. I highly doubt Porsche picked the 6 colors available because they believed they look the best or look fast. I would venture to say a publicly traded company that needs to produce a product and turn a profit had to make decisions. Likely supply chain issues of obtaining carbon fiber parts and then further having to paint them many different colors resulting in a logistically nightmare. Leading to the reason for the reduced number of choices.

we got a letter re: pts on gt3rs stating customers in limbo should/could move forward by picking non pts.
I don't have info on it but *guessing* the painted hoods and wings are really an issue for QC in pts.

It really is ridiculous. I know its always been this way to some degree but I just cannot believe the color options on a standard 911 are far greater than that for an RS. I am sure there must be some manufacturing process reason why this is but still.... just crazy what the current color options are unless you are able to get PTS. Just insane to me for a car this expensive.

RS has always has almost no color options except the 991.2 3rs….which I of course correctly ordered Miami blue
This time it’s now black/white, red, grey, grey or grey
So what’s the best standard color?
