GT3RS Allocation Thread
#2116
I've had multiple different sources tell me the allocations released a few weeks ago were for all the 2024 GT car allocations and that no more were going to be released. There is always the bonus allocation or 2 that can trickle in at some point during the year but that is more of a lottery thing
not sure if it will be only for the full year
they are expecting more allocations

I have no doubt Porsche is going to try and make as many of these cars as possible. Don’t know the numbers (sure someone here does) but there are more 992.1 gt3 produced than 991.1… though not sure.
Regarding the MY24 vs MY25, all the allocations that came through my dealer were 24s that arrive some time between early spring and early summer.

agree that MY allocations have been distributed
and as PTS said , there will be few that will trickle here and there as extra allocation
but the best news which I was expecting , is Porsche decided to build MY 2025 which will bring another round or two of allocations and this is why IMO why ADM have drifted downward as stated above by few members
but it seems to me that some on these boards like to perpetuate scarcity

I won't be surprised if they keep building the GT3RS into 2025 with MY25. There's plenty of demand which means plenty of revenues and profits. People said there wouldn't be any MY24 GT3s and look what happened. NO ONE except for Porsche knows if they'll build more cars!

Sadly I already sold my soul. My friend got his for 45k, same Oregon dealer, delivery in July with no trade-in. I brought it up since mine arrives in a few weeks, but “the terms are the terms”. Granted we set this in stone when the allocations were first released so I felt good about 100k compared to what others paid.
I was on the list with various brokers and every now and then I get a call or email. Brokers are down from 150-200k, now it’s 60-100k for cars from CA or FL.

Agreed! The 991.1 gt3rs only had a 2 year run, 2015-16, stopped right before the 991.2 rolled out. they were in high demand at the time, and Porsche didn’t bother to build more RS to fulfill demand. Porsche knew many potential GT buyers couldn’t get an allocation ended up buying other 911 variant like Turbo, gts, and making profits on those instead.

unfortunately , this degree of misinformation is what is pushing me and other people away from the brand
loyal customers are willing to tolerate some BS because the cars are great , but even if a fraction of these customers say , enough is enough, that will have an impact on the brand , as these customers are not only buying GT cars , but also buying their SUV and EV cars
and if anyone from corporate is reading this , they should realize that the brand is hot at this time, but don't push your luck , as fortunes can change quickly
building 3RS for MY 2025 , should be a cut and dry answer, either they are planning on building them or not , and all dealers should tell customers the same answer and Porsche should monitor them as this will decrease the speculations around the car and discourages flippers that Porsche claim they don't like
on BMW side , you get exact production dates for several years in the future and Porsche can do the same

I was told that specifically by a Porsche GM and I did not ask for the information

Hey everyone, thought I'd close the loop on my own allocation, a '24 Weissach on European delivery. Some photos below. The Werkswagen experiece was great, and a quick 1500kms in Germany with the break-in done. This car is absolutely amazing, and I drove in a 2-hour downpour with PSCup 2's without incident. The refinement of this vehicle is superb, and with the track-mode hack (set -4 on dampers all around) the vehicle is more comfortable than an GT3 around bumpy roads. The steering response at high speed is like a superpower, and the brakes have firm but not violent bite with a very progressive pedal. And Ice Gray...I was a bit on the fence having never seen it on a 992 in person, but I can say now that the configurator and online pictures totally fail to capture its subtlety and dynamic nature.
In short, it's kind of magical. -hyp
