Talking to PCNA makes getting your RS allocation that much easier 😉

Go over to the GT350 forums. Most engine failures were replaced under warranty no problem, but a few were documented as denied. And the failure on one turned out to be the oil pump pickup coming off while on track. Denied.

The dealer reports findings for warranty claim. If they report what they consider to be abuse, you're in trouble. The same thing happens with jeeps used off road. I have owned all three and luckily have a good rapport with my dealer.

Oh, and the GT350 also comes with a supplemental owners manual and track alignment settings, AND A free trip to driving school.

Sounds like Porsche doesn't play the same games as Ford and Jeep.

Call any Porsche dealer and also Porsche NA headquarters and ask them why they won't provide extended factory warranties for RS models. Let us know what you discover.

Spoiler Alert: It's because they are tracked. That's the exact reason I was given by each of the 14 dealers I called and Porsche NA.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but if you're basing your comments solely on what is available on a public message board, I would suggest perhaps you take a step back and come to terms with the fact that lots and lots of stuff happens that do not get posted, and will never get posted.

The OP was under factory warranty though with a new car.

OP's engine is being replaced under warranty so your untold stories are unnecessary . and stating that the "OP's last concern would be maximizing the summer track season in Albert" is dumb ...
You'd think a car guy would empathize..

I wasn't talking about the OP's car.

my 07 gt3 had owners manual say on one side of page that this is the best track performing car you can buy. the other side of the page said, track driving will void your warranty! i sold that car ages ago but would love someone who has access to post pic of that page.

glad porsche helping the op here but i would be very careful telling dealers that car was damaged on track.

Seen several cars driven on track, mine included, that had issues that were covered under warranty.

I even gave them video of the lap where I experienced the issue so they could see what happened.

been track driving 20 yrs and have countless stories going both ways. you were fortunate, but i would recommend being very careful with warranty issues and track driving.

You have countless stories of Porsche denying warranty claims in the US because it occurred on track??

Yes. People breaking down on track and getting denied warranty due to track use. All brands, not just Porsche. Probably 4,5 times over 20 yrs.

Asking specifically about Porsche-not other brands.

If you read the booklet, you’d know there are a list of exclusions to the warranty for track use including any failure to properly maintain the car according to the accelerated maintenance schedule. If you run the oil down, PCNA is not reimbursing your stupid. You really don’t want your dealer to think you were doing something dumb.
