Red face 2019 GT3 RS vs 2022 GT3

I was pretty dead set on pulling the trigger on a 2019 CPO GT3 RS with all the bells and whistles for around $270k but have recently seen a couple of 22 GT3's hit the market not far off of that price. For those that have more experience, what would you do? The RS has original MSRP of $249k and GT3 is $180k, so $20k over or $100k over

In the longer run, the RS will hold its value more. No way I would still pay $100k over MSRP for GT3.

Feel like the RS will hold its value better and the GT3 will continue to drop. A month ago there were no 22 GT3's under $300k and now there is a handful. Plus when the new RS comes out it will be very expensive and the 22 GT3 guys will be trading theirs in for the new RS. They aren't making any more 19 RS's and I have read that a lot of folks don't like the look of the redesigned 911 (I too feel it doesn't look agressive enough)

Conversely, when the new RS comes out the old '19 RS will be worth less. And, they will be traded in. If the new RS is 260K or so with a few options, maybe 300K Wiesche, then maybe GT3's are held onto and a 2RS looks attractive.

the way the new gt3 drives it incredible, not even the 19 gt3 rs comes close, the way they mix rawness with smothness its unreal

RS is its own brand. When someone wants an RS, nothing else will do. It was certainly that way on the 997 in my mind (at the time).

Not sure I agree. When the new RS is introduced the greedy dealers will be asking minimum $150,000 ADM. Buyers will be facing at least a $400,000 price tag. That will enhance the value of the 991RS especially when you considered the predicted humongous wing and small improvement in performance.

I sold my 2019 RS and my new 2022 GT3 just arrived to the port in San Diego last night. From looking at the cars the 001 just feels old compared to the new 992. There are so many modern new things in the new cars. Also from a performance stand point the new 992 beats the 991.2 all day long.

Let us know what your improved lap times are on the 992 GT3 versus your 991.2 3RS

992 GT3 is a great vehicle but I haven't found a reason yet to upgrade from 991.2 RS. I'll wait for the 992RS and re-evaluate if I'm not keeping it to pass down.

They are 1 second apart on a 20+ km 7 minute track. You make it sound like its a 996 GT3 vs 992 GT3.

I tend to think so, too, at least for awhile. Even then, the RS is the rarer of the breed and will command a premium because of it.

Prices will fluctuate, as they always do, but I would think the 991 RS will be right up there with the 997 RS 4.0 and the 991 and 992 have not diminished the 997's value.
