There are others but these should be top of list.

 

I used Masney from FL to NJ.. Perfect service, driver was amazing.

 

Also make sure you clearly understand who is insuring the car during transportation.

 

Plycar did an excellent job for me recently. Took a little longer than expected but great outfit

Following up on my original posting this thread. I ended up using Masney Auto Enclosed, and could not have been more satisfied. All aspects of the exercise from pick-up to deliver were done in a top notch manner. The driver Tim was a true professional. I thought my GT3 would be the one of the priciest cars in in the truck; turns out it was riding with a bunch of Mclarens, including a P1, a Ferrari 812 Superfast and some other nice cars.

 

How much has transport gone up in the past 18 months? Looking for transport from Houston to SoCal.

 

I've lived and learned. Based on personal experience:

• Call it law of large numbers, but I would never use Plycar again after a not-so-pleasant (diplomatically stated) experience for my coast-to-coast 993 shipment.
• Used a number of others, very happy with Masney enclosed (most expensive rig I've seen put together, my car was under a Senna FWIW).
• Reliable is pricey but never heard horror stories (probably most expensive at the moment given Barrett Jackson Palm beach is live and they are their choice carrier).
• Interstate used to give a discount for RL members, not sure if still applicable.
• Final recommendation - call Montway - they are essentially a broker and will find you the cheapest option based on what you want (enclosed, open, etc.)

 

I recently used Bears to bring a Washington car to Florida. Excellent experience. Clear communication upfront, hit their timelines.

When my my drop off occurred, there was also a 992 Targa and a 550 Spyder making the journey.

Feel the need to chime in here based on my experience over the past week.

We had a tricky issue come up last week that required getting our new touring on the road to Washington on very short notice. I've used a few transporters over the years and have never had what I would consider a great experience until the past few days with Liz at Bear.

I contacted her based on this thread after hitting a dead-end with the other vendors that I'd worked with before, including several referenced in this thread. Liz went above and beyond to make it happen and did so at a very reasonable rate. Great communication and A++ customer service.

Not one to lavish praise but very nice to see someone still gets it when so many businesses do not. Kudos to Bear and Liz.

Recently transported my GT4 from CA to Houston. Got quotes for enclosed transport from Reliable, Plycar, and @BearsTransport . Bears was the most competitively priced and got my car here in 4 days. Good communication from Liz and the driver throughout. Would use again.
