+1 on BearsTransport. The quote for moving the car enclosed from the east coast to the west coast was very competitive compared to Plycar/Reliable/Intercity. Liz is responsive and always reachable. The selected carrier had good equipment, was careful unloading the car, and the car arrived in great condition in 6 days.

www.fastautoshipping.net

Had to ship my Porsche from Cali to North Carolina last month. Wasn't too thrilled about the idea, but life happens, right? Went with Fast Auto Shipping 'cause a colleague had a decent experience with them.

The whole thing was... alright. Got my quote online, and it didn't break the bank. The dude who came to pick up the car was on time and seemed to know his stuff. I might've called their customer service a few too many times (hey, it's my Porsche we're talking about!), but they were cool about it.

Car rolled up in NC with no dramas. If you're looking to ship your ride, they might be worth a look. Just thought I'd share.

  • Used a number of others, very happy with Masney enclosed (most expensive rig I've seen put together, my car was under a Senna FWIW).
  • Reliable is pricey but never heard horror stories (probably most expensive at the moment given Barrett Jackson Palm beach is live and they are their choice carrier).
  • Interstate used to give a discount for RL members, not sure if still applicable for villa movers in abu dhabi.
  • Final recommendation - call Montway - they are essentially a broker and will find you the cheapest option based on what you want (enclosed, open, etc.)
What are the best transport companies out there? I tried Montway, Plycar and Sherpa so far. I'm looking for enclosed.

Although I didn't use Bears for my transport (went with the sellers preference) they were my choice. Picked up the phone and answered emails very promptly.

Looks like some nice comments for Bear Transport and though I have never used them it is good to see folks comment for others on here to read. One item I would definitely not recommend is using a Broker, because they will use whomever is cheaper and with our cars the shipping price is important, but getting there with very reputable Transport is the real key. I have had too many cars shipped out or in ( worked at a Dealership for 27 years selling primarily performance machines ) and I can not list all the horror stories I have with cars coming in on open trailers after the owner was ensured his vehicle would come enclosed. Had alot of driver mad at us as we checked every vehicle incoming with 2 Employees -- the number of scuffer front ends or wheels was quite high at times. My recommendation is use those carriers who have high reviews , do alot of high end vehicles, and are broad based around the US.

My personal recommendation would be Reliable Carriers because I dealt with them for literally thousands of cars and often I chatted with Larry Donatelli. They have the most distribution points of any Car Shipping Firm in America and they are usually one of the fastest -- primarily due to the numerous distribution spots.

Listed below is Larry's number , but of course you could touch base with any Rep. Larry Donatelli 800-521-6393 Ext. #6281

We are an experienced broker and a reputable one over 18 years- we do not use the cheapest carriers at all - as that is a reflection of our company. Cheap is not in our vocabulary when choosing a carrier for any vehicle but especially high dollar vehicles - such as Rennlisters- ! ! It is nice to have options

I've used Bears twice. No issues either time, and they were WAY faster to schedule than any other option—by a long shot. I remember getting quotes from some of the other guys and they said the first pickup they could do was 3 weeks out...
