Let's definitely chat about RAS when the time comes. I'm probably a year away from getting my car.
Wilco - @Wilder - let's hope that someone cracks the 992.2 encryption before yours shows up. If not, we won't be able to mod anything, or most likely even change out the exhaust. It's possible that the tuners will be able to do a tune separately from the ODB interface that will allow for deletion of the 4 cats w/o a CEL (they program directly into the engine ECU on the bench), and possibly reprogram the exhaust valves, but we certainly won't be able to delete RAS unless someone cracks the SFD2 encryption on the ODB PIWIS interface.

I knew this was coming but it still hurts to hear it… it’s why I pulled out all the stops to get an S/T allocation:

I really don't need a 992.2 GT3 since it wouldn't add a whole lot of real difference to the 991.2 GT3T and 992.1 S/T I already have (IMO) but I'd hate to see Porsche stop making an NA / manual GT3 at some point and have missed the last version (at least configured to my preference - will always be able to buy used). So I am on the list for the 992.2 GT3 just in case. It would be nice if they gave us an official heads up a year before the last good one ends production so I don't have to buy defensively...

Consider this your 2 year warning LOL. It sucks, beyond but dont sweat the details and just make sure you've got what you want before things are different.

^ and they will not split the models/engines to have a 4.0 for North America and another model with a different engine for the ROW.

maybe a special edition though? If they were able to use the existing engine, so no additional R&D, but they just couldn’t sell that engine in EUR but could still sell it in China, North America, South America/Brazil, UAE/Middle East, etc, wouldn’t it make sense financially to do so? Just thinking out loud, Europe is only 28% of their total market share

PSA for the S/T owners - be careful parking to avoid curb rash, these wheels aren’t cheap! (Not speaking from experience, someone just mentioned the pricing to me)

That’s about double what the Mags from 991 gen were charging…

Yeah, I have the BBS magnesiums on my 991.2 GT3 Touring (a little different than the OEM Weissach GT3RS wheels but very similar) and I think they were $18K which I thought was quite pricey at the time!

And Porsche won't sell protection wheel/tire package for car. They say it's because it is basically an RS, but I'm sure it's the price.

Are you tempting fate to be that prepared? Although I’ve already pulled a third of the front spoiler off pulling over a parking block. I was able to snap it back in place, finely sand the black plastic and spray on protectant and now good as new.
