That’s why I think there is value in purchasing a 2022 model as you can get it a little bit cheaper

obviously not much has been done to the car itself in terms of changes between 2022 and 2024
MSRP on my PTS/EM Touring was almost 260k. + TTL and PPF its a 300k endeavor. A car with base catalogue paint and all the right options is 225k+ msrp now.

I read somewhere that base msrp on the 992.2 is going to be 199k. Option increases will put a non PTS car probably at 260k and a full option car well over 300k.

21k base msrp increase for 23/24's

I have only seen one 2024 for sale and they were asking 320k.

His “rock bottom” is $260K. Would I be overpaying?

I've imported a Canadian car to US. Was a big hassle and not worth it for a modern mass produced car like a GT3. First, it's alot of paperwork, and different customs officers interpret the documents differently. You may have to make modifications to your car to bring it into US compliance, which once again is up to the customs officer's interpretation. Some don't care, others seem to hate their job and will intentionally make your process as difficult as possible. You also want a letter of compliance from Porsche, which I heard Porsche doesn't provide anymore. Servicing the car was annoying too. Some dealers think they can't honor warranty since it wasn't US delivered car. Fixing recalls was messy too. Finally, when you resell the car, it'll be a hassle again due to the stigma. Dealers refused to take my Canadian car on trade, even CarMax. Ever heard of CarMax refusing a trade in?

For ultra rare cars or older classic cars where country of origin doesn't matter as much, I'd import.

Hmmm, depends on how much you like the car, if you would select all of the options, and how long you plan on keeping the car. The market is slowly softening up so time is on your side.

Sellers can ask $300k for 23/24 GT3s but they won't get them.

I'm originally also from North TX but now in SEA. One thing I learned moving here - U.S. dealers, at least in this region, regularly import cars from Canada and as such, you're still able to finance them like any other car.

I see stigma/hesitancy here too and I don't really understand it. The concerns I hear are that Canada has some snowy/salty parts and rust and cold weather can impact cars (generally not an issue for high end sports cars like a GT3, which aren't usually driven in winter), and that a person might never know the vehicle's full history (I don't get this either bc Canada has Carfax).

Canada-origin cars seem to sell for less across the board from what I've seen.

I am conflicted when I see the recent sales and such a wide range of $26-65K ADM. Where is the market at on a Signal Yellow PDK car with Sub 1K Miles?

$26K ADM with 4,300 Miles
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-63/

$65K ADM PTS with 1,900 Miles

yes, a car already imported can obviously be financed, but a car in canada? Not sure how easy

Sounds nice. Cpo or no (those still transfer private sale right)? Does it have a yellow roll cage? And black gt3 stickers on the side? I remember one like that for sale. 218k is a good msrp make sure it has the options you want (front lift, pdls+ etc) full clear bra or partial would be nice. If they know the market they’ll ask 50K+ over msrp but maybe you’ll do better . Good luck!
