I think that when a car sells on an auction site, the market has spoken on that car. The idea of purchasing it, paying the buyers premium, transporting and advertising it for more seems risky. The next buyer is paying for all that plus whatever premium the seller decides they want. There is so much money being padded in these cars when they move around. I think some people are still living in the world of 3-4 years ago. The market seems inflated by a lot of peoples poor decisions. Also, all PTS colors aren’t equal. People think that a rare PTS color means it translates automatically to a larger value. Sometimes they are rare because they are not attractive. Not faulting anyone for anything, just my observation.

It is pretty wild buying a car retail via a popular auction site and turning around and trying to resell it. I can see if the car is represented poorly or needs a ton of work, but in this case…

These dealers are buying these cars and many are starting to lose money as they don’t seem to understand the market is falling quickly. I know as my last GT car was bought and they literally lost money on it
Gul luxury and the other regular dealer flippers foreign, mezger917 (grand prix?) etc. are buying cars at prices it is very obvious they will never make money on.
My only question is are they doing it to protect the inventory prices they got….or are they actually fully lost out there thinking they’ll make money

Just dropped my car at Porsche Beachwood this afternoon if anyone is looking for a very high spec wing car ($223k sticker). $10k in PPF and ceramic including interior, lightest UV blocking tint including windshield, and bolster protectors from day 1. Great car that I already regret trading but I want some other car experiences while I wait for a .2.
PM and I’ll get you a good contact for sales.

The timing couldn’t be any worse, 992.2 announcement is around the corner. 992.1 inventory is only going one way, so many cars already in the market. Overpriced and sitting on the lots for months.
