I would not say "easily fixed" unless you know something none of us do. The new exhaust is vastly different than the outgoing, no more side mufflers or center muffler that can be swapped out to gain some tone. You have the drop the entire 1 piece muffler and go further and drop the headers if you want to get rid of OPF. Next, the valves cant be opened all the time as they are electronic and throw check engine lights if you disconnect them and keep them open.
To get the new car to sound like the old car, you would need to spend at least $12k and invest in a full header system with sports cats. But even then it appears that the new valve logic keeps the valves closed at a wider RPM band and regardless of the button state, you need to be on throttle to get them to stay open.
With enough money and determination, you can do anything but Its hardly "easily fixed" by aftermarket.

Can anyone provide noise (dB) comparison for 992 and 991.2 (either GT3 or GT3RS)?
Asking as I’d like to consider 992 GT3 as my next track car but where I live noise limits are super strict. 718 GT4/GTS are fine but 981 GT4, 991.1 and .2 GT3 and other cars get black flagged for excessive noise. So I’d like to know if 992 GT3 will be much quieter than 991.2

I can see that, absolutely - been there done that as well. The 992 GT3 may be the car I've enjoyed as loud as possible the most. It's distinctly Porsche and super raw like a mechanical god screaming right behind you. As far as street cars go, that was automotive heaven for me. It's an experience every drive to say the least. Is it for most? No, but it'll be absolutely thrilling for some.

So yes, setup like this is cool for youtube videos and C&C or maybe if you are trailering the car to the track and wear ear plugs while driving but it is just not sensible for street driving.
Another problem is you completely lose the beautiful mechanical noises that engine makes inside cabin (aka the buzz saw).
There needs to be a way to make the 992 GT3 sound like 991.2 GT3RS - inside the cabin. I wish aftermarket companies focus more on replicating the inner cabin noise than making the exhaust louder. The exhaust noise isnt whats beautiful, its the mechanical symphony that is amazing with this engine. You basically feel like you are in an engine dyno room standing next to an engine as its running through various rev ranges. From the videos, 992 has a much more tamer/muted sound inside the cabin. Induction noise is louder but certain sounds are lost. I dont know if this is because ITBs or other changes in the engine or OPF.

I have lived with a similar setup for some time in my RS and while it is intoxicating to do this (having a setup like this), it gets intolerable pretty quickly. There is no way to start the car before everyone in the household and your neighbors wake up. Forget about waking up at 8 am and going for a drive before cyclists infest the beautiful county roads. Then there is the cabin resonance. This engine is unique in its resonance frequencies and at 3500 rpm, then at 4200, then at 5000 rpm there are these very strong resonances that will create all sorts of trim panels inside the cabin or switches or the airbag on the steering wheel or the steering wheel trim to buzz. It drives you crazy pretty quickly as you mentally try to avoid these RPM ranges by either driving it really at higher gears and keep rpms low or above 5000 rpm at all times. Then there is the sheer decibels. You will get easily 90+ dB in cruising and above 103 dB+ during WOT - inside the cabin. This is very very VERY loud and is bad for human ear. You have 20,000 tiny little hairs in your inner ear that detects sound waves and translate them into signals for the brain to process. Well those tiny hairs are very sensitive and you can and will permanently damage them causing hearing loss. After a while living with this system, I realized I had tinnitus for several hours post driving the car.

Akrapovic will likely be your best bet if and when they release their version of the 992 exhaust. They always seem to be closest to OEM+ in terms of sound and volume

Street or track
I had a 991.1 RS and now have a 992 GT3. I like both as HPDE cars, but the 992 GT3 is faster around the track with a similar setup by more than a full second and it's all in the grip. Motor and brakes are very similar, grip on 992 is better. Same wheels, tires and brakes on both cars.
