Default PPF interior black piano piece..

Something that I haven’t seen discussed yet. So once I eventually get one ( 992 GT3) I will , just a matter of when. I’m pretty sure I’m going to PPF the black interior piano piece. I feel it will get scratched up like hell. Could be wrong but just my feeling. Love my cars super clean and I feel even a micro fiber towel will still lightly scratch this piece somehow, someway. Or even a watch of some sort from shifting. Not that matte plastic we had in previous Porsches like my 991.2 GT3. Anyone consider this? Heres a picture of a buddy I know did his Audi SQ5 in stealth PPF on his piano black. Looks great to me and protects.

Stealth PPF Black Piano Molding

Not PPF’d. Picture for reference

Stealth PPF on the piano is a very common protection/mod most people i know are doing with their RS6/7 cars. It gives it a flat matte look and helps with the smudging. I know its popular enough that Xpel sells precut kits for these cars. I’m not sure they have made one for the 992 yet but im sure they will get around to it.. it definitely is something im going to ask my Detailer to do when i bring my car in.

I have PPF on every black panel on all my car interiors. It saves them big time

My PPF guy wouldn’t touch it without removing it. He said he had to put too much water on it to apply is around sensitive electronics.

I also would do this but either a dry install if possible or pull the trim and apply.

XPEL kit (in clear, not stealth, but it's a start): https://www.xpel.com/Display-Screen-...TIMATE-PLUS_17
