Im just curious at the schedule just to see what day the ship leaves. As of now it says my car is at the port but not on the ship. Should be here mid may
Once you have a ship name from the app or your SA you can use a ship tracker app. Most people use Marine Traffic or Vessel Finder. You can get free trials for a week. Let the OCD kick into high gear...
Our GT3 is finally home... I looked at the shifter and realized it was a PDK! What happened to our manual? No one had any answers.
First, your car looks great and at least no damage. But, that seems unacceptable me unless you were on the fence about it. Sorry to hear that, but glad you got your car now after that trip.
Yes we kept it and our SA/dealer soften the "shock" with throwing a few things we originally planned to purchase for the car. The logic in keeping it is; the car looks even better than we'd hoped with the orange interior stitching and full carbon fiber trim, who knows when or if we'd be able to get another one with what's going on right now and even though the manual is more engaging to drive the PDK is faster on the track and easier to live with and in northern CA traffic is almost always an issue. No the SA didn't give us that spiel that's my observation based on our 2014 GT3 with PDK. Disappointed? Yes. Would I like to know what actually happened? Most definitely. All said, I count myself fortunate to have actually gotten one of these beautiful cars and plan on get the most enjoyment I can out of it.
I’m so sorry to hear that this got so messed up for you…and admire your positive attitude. Thank you for that, helps me keep mine, too. The car is gorgeous, the blue simply the best blue I have seen on a 911 and the orange stitching a very cool touch to set off and enhance the blue. Very nice! Congrats on your choices.
TYD, in the end, seemed to be accurate in my case, as the dates eventually changed a few days, or a week after something ACTUALLY happened. Porsche sent me two(2) emails within a few minutes alerting me that my car was loaded on a truck on its way to the dealer, to expect it soon,…three days AFTER my dealer had called me that it had just been delivered….and then they damaged it during PDI and are now trying to fix it…Curious to hear what your full story will end up being..
I’m certain this will all be forgotten as soon as we take it on a windy road, a trip along the coast or run a few laps on a speedy track. Enjoy it fully!
Did the dealer ever send you a copy of the build sheet for the 6MT order? They should still be able to pull up the order in their system and see what was actually placed. I highly doubt Porsche built anything different than what was actually input by the dealer...
It was spec'd with 6MT when we first ordered it and I'm sure of that because Porsche later sent an email saying it had been changed to the PDK because of the CA noise fiasco but as @smiles11 stated there's no reference to what transmission the car's ordered with on any of the paperwork and that includes the window sticker/Monroney Label.
If any of you get a chance could you check your build sheets and see if under the MTYP/Option column you have a ZDK "Preparation for Transmission" that's the only reference on any of my paperwork to a transmission

My build sheet specifies: "G0W 6-speed GT Sport Manual Transmission" A winged GT3 comes standard with a PDK unless the 6-speed manual is specifically selected as option GOW. I do not have a ZDK option code.

Well that's where things went wrong. When it was reordered the the 6MT was not spec'd only the change to PTS from racing yellow and the orange deviated stitching instead of yellow. Thanks @2022GT3

It’s unfortunate that the dealer did not enter the order correctly nor catch it in any subsequent reviews of the build. Infuriating…
It's my understanding that the transmission code for a 992 GT3 PDK is G1C and for 6MT it's G0W so what transmission does the ZDK Preparation for Transmission reference?
