Looks like my car was indeed unloaded at JAX. Hoping for a quick turn around and transported to the dealer. Best Case scenario I’ll be able to take delivery 3/26/22. Second scenario the weekend of 4/1/22. I hope those unloaded in JAX get their cars as soon as possible!!

Some interesting tidbits from 2012 New York Times piece on vehicle carriers:
The spacing between the cars is just as critical. Just 30 centimeters, about a foot, separate the front and rear bumpers of the cars, and there is a gap of some 6 inches from side to side. The mirrors are folded in to make more room.
Each vehicle is lashed with a minimum of four nylon tie-down straps that are looped through removable hooks at the bumpers or on the frame. (Larger vehicles need more straps, as do those parked perpendicular to the keel, a placement that lets the body move more on its suspension.) The clasps at the other end of the straps are attached to holes or rings on the floor. The straps are so taut that the cars barely budge — a good thing, because if even one car comes loose and ricochets around a deck, it can cause millions of dollars in damage.

Just got word from my guy at the dealer, my car has been release to Transport. It was at port for 1-2 days before being released. Now waiting on a truck to get it shipped to the dealer. We should know by Monday when it will arrive at the dealer(I’ll keep y’all posted). Ideally car should be at dealer mid next week if we get a quick transport.

A good friend has a GTS cab on The Composer. His dealer ( who has treated him exceptionally well for years), has just told him this “ story”. Damage seems to be “superficial”. (Sure, with 4000 lb. Cars bouncing all over.. nothing a little compound won’t take care of) Will be be fixed at port . Huh? Supposedly dealers don’t have information on specific cars, so no one knows if they are affected. Seems to me, they are “spoon feeding “ the bad news…. Sort of like…. Yes, there seems to be a small issue on The Felicity Ace…

I would think all means all the vehicles on the ship, not just the ones being dropped off at the first stop in Rhode Island…..
