Hey does anyone here know which Pagid pad shape the PCCB setup uses? It is not the same as the 991.2 GT3 PCCB I've been told. I'm a huge fan of RSC2 and RSL1 pads, so hope they will be available.

I'd go back to that first recommendation, Get a good Bedding in of the pads. 6-8 Hard stops from 70-20mph , drive for 15-20 minutes to cool off. Amazing what it does for Bite.
Its a harsh process, but it works.
Can't imagine your boiling fluid yet, if so maybe look at your brake technique. U On the Pedal to long ?
good luck

In steel, pads are identical and rotors are the same thickness at 34MM. The rotors have a larger diameter at 403 vs 380mm, and the hat is 24MM less wide. I have had pads from my 991.1RS on the car for more than 1,200 miles with zero issues.

Per the German forum they are calling the factory supplied pads "comfort pads". Someone posted pictures from the Porsche site showing "track pads" which seem to be the same as supplied to the 991 GT3 and GT4, Pagid P90s.

Interesting - where did they shave the 17% weight from? The hats?

I had planned on switching to PFC pads or similar for track season anyway. This confirms it. Thanks for posting.

I don't think they really saved 17% vs. the last GT3. They saved 17% compared to the same sized brakes used on the Turbo. New brakes are "bigger, but not heavier" is what they should have said.
Some of the savings comes from keeping 6-piston front calipers instead of 10-pistons on the Turbo (the GT3 uses a narrow annulus friction donut vs. the wide annulus donut on the Turbo that needs 10 pistons to clamp the larger swept area), and the rest of the weight savings is from using that narrow annulus rotor (more aluminum hat diameter and less iron friction ring).

I threw the 991 pads in tonight and will try them on track tomorrow. Same size, only difference I could see is the slots in the 992 pads. Pics of front pads below.

Maybe overkill in this case, but when I change pad compounds I clean the old pad material off the rotors with Simple Green and 3M green scrub pads. Prevents cross-contamination of compounds.
