Dude, the green looks great. The configurator did literally no favors for any colors or configurations. I noticed when I got my car last month how amazing it looks in person as you say exactly. Every head turns, I find myself just staring at it, it's menacing presence is so obvious and stands out even among other Porsches.

I was fortunate enough to get a brief, yet spirited, ride in sgroers car this weekend.... I also followed him around for most of an afternoon down some incredible roads. While following the car, its clear the suspension is far superior. Several spots that all of the .1 and .2 RS's and GT3's scraped at speed(and one in particular that was significant) he passed over without touching. It was also crystal clear there was a lot less drama going on the cabin than the rest of us for the entire afternoon. The guy directly behind him joked that he and his passenger may well have been enjoying an espresso while the rest of us tried to keep up... His car truly appeared glued to the road no matter what the surface of the road was dishing out. The ride in the passenger seat was just crazy. (the shift lights on the dash were a cool touch, as is the layout in track mode). This car feels like a two to three model leap to me. Like going from a 997.1 right into a 991.2 sort of spread. Congrats to those that have them on the way - and if you don't like yours please drop me a DM!

Mailing you a key fob would be worthless, because it needs to be programmed to the car., with the existing fob.

Don't know when I'll receive my second fob. I do have the second hard blade key insert.

Me too on a brief, but "spirited" passenger ride. Bogey is spot on. Even from the right seat, there is definitely a different feeling from the 991.2 altogether. It is noticeable even at parking lot speeds. Much more solid, smooth, settled. Afterwards, we had a discussion on whether this would keep up with a 991.2 GT3RS. The consensus was that the RS didn't have a chance... Great fun awaits those who are getting the 992's!

I owned a .2 RS. It’s a much rawer car than 992 GT3. As is my 2RS. It’s like ice cream, what flavor do you like? Plus it’s hard not to like any new GT car. I prefer the 992GT3 to my 991.2. YMMV

I’d be curious of the opinions of current 991.2RS owners driving the 992 or the other way around. The base GT3 in 991 was nowhere near as sharp as the RS was from a steering precision perspective. You could tell the GT3 was much more relaxed, had more body roll, sound was muted, etc. Driving the GT3 and RS back to back gave you very different feedback. The RS steering is very sharp (in fact I think its too pointy), the suspension is extremely planted.

Porsche always positions the new GT3 on par with previous RS. I think a lot of these wow comments are from previous GT3 owners who may not have owned a .2 RS. I have almost 8,000 miles on mine and I cannot imagine a more planted, stiffer, more pointy steering GT3 than this. This already is borderline impractical/too harsh.

I think once the honeymoon period is over, and more 991 owners drive them back to back, we will see how they truly compare with pluses and minuses.

Of all the comments I have read so far, the one thing that does not agree with me is around how the cabin of the new car not having any of mechanical sounds of the outgoing car. I really like that about my 991. You hear everything. I dont want a softer, more subdued car to make it appeal to more people. I want to hear everything, feel everything.

Stick with an RS then. I’ve owned a .2RS as well as a .1 and a .1 And .2 GT3. Groer’s review is spot on. I have both and enjoy both.

I drove the car 800 miles this weekend in a highly varied environment alongside mostly 991 Gt cars with some friends. I can update this thread
since my original post and have quite a bit more in my head about this car now. We took it on
Highways, smooth sweepers, rougher / tighter mountain passes. I’m tired and once I relax for a bit I’ll start unpacking my brain. I am going to write an extensive review.

I have owned every version of 991 GT so my perspective will be coming from that experience.

Look I do think that some of the bits will get damaged but they're designed to take minor hits and will be easily replaced. Personally I love the aero and engineering bits on these cars. Porsche puts so much thought and effort into them and more often than not I look at them as aesthetic art which I enjoy looking at. For me, it would be a shame to take these off and not have them to admire (even under the car) during the ownership of the car.
it’s true the aero scrapes on everything, but ironically the front nose is super easy to clear on things with the new Front Axle Lift. I’m scraping the brake duct aero underneath the car and the rear diffuser. Whatever, easy to replace but probably never will. This is the new front lip that we ultimately didn’t care about scraping.
