992 gt3 VS Huracan Evo RWD

For those who are concerned about the N/A engines going away, this is as good a time as it will ever be to embrace the future: 48V mild hybrid with electric superchargers and turbochargers combined. It even allows for manual transmission in this setup because the compact electric motor is placed between the engine and the transmission.
The high torque compact electric motor helps quite a bit with initial acceleration, electric superchargers or turbochargers which can be driven off the 48V subsystem eliminate turbo lag and allow for smooth, uninterrupted linear power delivery (that sounded marketing-y I admit).
If you really hate the electric vehicles so much, understand and embrace the kind of technologies which will still enable us to drive petrol engines in the future. Turbos, Cylinder de-activation, mild hybrids with brake regeneration will help efficiency during regular commutes so we can keep enjoying our toys in the long run. That and research into synthetic fuels is the future of the ICE cars. For the millions of people out there who don't care about what's underneath their bonnet, EVs will be their means of transportation which is good news for us because the projected reduced impact on global warming will allow these cars to keep existing.

Burning Brakes
As per a post above, in Canada my Audi R8 V10 Performance AWD cost me $220K CDN ($180 USD) off the lot and if I were to order a new Huracan AWD with same options is $400k CDN. Yes not as exciting as Lambo but the engine and overall experience is still very close and the comfort and daily usability is much higher. So if you are not tracking much, R8 and the NA V10 remains a very good value option. R8 RWD even more so.

I have a performante and gt3.
The gt3 gives me more feedback and feels more mechanical. I have mag ride in my Perf so the car rides a lot softer, and smoother. The gt3 is a rougher ride with bucket seats in the gt3 vs comfort seats in the lambo. This makes the gt3 a lot more of a pita to get in and out and comfort deteriorates in the gt3. (Porsche buckets are really nice tho!)
I installed a cat back FI exhaust in my gt3 and with this upgrade the gt3 is slightly louder than the Lambo, but not by much. Which sounds better? Depends on what your flavor of sound is you so it’s preference. (The GT3 may be louder inside the cabin, however from the exterior of the cabin I am unsure. I am rating decibel level based on interior cabin sounds only)
I usually try to tell folks the gt3 is more of a natural athlete that is fun to drive, and you can track it almost at any speed with confidence. In the performante that car wants you to go fast!!! The Lambo was made and groomed for the track and it just wants to go fast. The aero is far superior in the lambo and I can cruise at 150-170mph with confidence. The gt3 has some sway and I don’t really feel super confident in this car above 140mph like I do the lambo. I am really anxious for my 992 gt3 to see how the new 992 aero is. (Trying to get one with little to no ADM as this is what the dealer promised me at the end of 2020)
Lambo gets 10x the attention of the Gt3 (verde mantis vs guards red.) the only thing that still frightens me while driving the lambo is when folks start honking out of nowhere to give you a thumbs up or say nice car. I am a pretty aggressive driver so it makes me feel like I did something wrong. (I just drive fast, not like a douche bag and try not cut people off)
FAL and infotainment is better in the Porsche. I only say FAL is better in Porsche cause it goes up and down quicker. Bluetooth connects almost immediately in the Porsche and takes like 5 seconds in the lambo. Bose stereo is 3x better than Lambo (I don’t have sensonium but heard it isn’t great either)
Also Lambo TPMS has the tire temperature, Porsche does not! This is very helpful when you’re warming up on the track.
I haven’t driven the RWD evo, but the AWD evo is very similar to the Perf, and it is slightly a little more tame. The evo has leather seating etc. The evo was designed to be more of a street everyday car vs track performante. If I had an older huracan it would make sense to upgrade to an evo, but it doesn’t make any sense to go from a perf to evo. The Perf is a more track focused car over the evo plus it has a factory wing and ALA. Evos do not have ALA.
I honestly like both cars and if I had to choose one, more than likely the lambo will win as it has the driving dramatics, stealthy fighter jet looks, exclusivity that you don’t get with Porsche. The lambo drives more like an exotic that does the track really really well vs the Porsche is a track car made road legal.
I like both cars a lot and the lambo has been very neglected since I picked up the gt3. The gt3 I can drive daily and not worry about where I parked it people following me and stuff. I put prob 3k miles in 5 months. The lambo also feels super tame after having a good bit of seat time in the Gt3. I would take the lambo in a rally for comfort over the gt3 any day of the week.

Nice to hear that my 3 days on the track with the Huracan EVO gave me the same tought as yours! "The lambo drives more like an exotic that does the track really really well vs the Porsche is a track car made road legal."

I inquired about a custom build in case I can't get a GT3 slot. What I am told, no discount at all (the SA looked a bit surprised when I asked him if there's any room for negotiation), about 8 months from build submit to delivery.
