Imo Rs looks too high tech for retro plaid interior. I liked 959 style one better
I tend to agree, we just wanted to explore all possibilities to start with to see what works and what doesn't. Very fun canvas to work with the new RS.
When we make our designs we make sure it is something we can imagine on the top step of the podium, that rang true this past weekend at Sportscar Together Fest, our client Efrin took the win for Pro-Am in both races! Also a big congrats to Riley Dickinson who took his maiden win in the pro class in race 2! Thank you to @carsandjay from Instagram for these excellent photos from the weekend in Indianapolis. If anybody else was there we'd love to see your photos!
Who will be at Road Atlanta this month for the final rounds?
The exterior features silver wheels, carbon fiber mirrors, and carbon fiber roof from the factory, while aftermarket additions include the wing tips with a Mobil 1 Pegasus graphic in satin silver to accent the wheels and accentuate the blue undertones tones of the paint. A Made in Flacht sticker on the rear tail-light provides a tribute to the car’s development birthplace in Germany.
The interior is finished in black leather and Race-Tex with deviated stitching in yellow, seat belts in yellow, tachometer and Sport-Chrono faces in yellow, and lovely tartan seat inserts supplied by Arling from Rstrada which tie the spec together beautifully with a pop of rich brown accented by blue and yellow stripes.
To achieve this spec, we were by the clients side providing renderings and tweaks throughout the ordering process, as well as visualizing the aftermarket details. Here is a little peak into the renderings process and some specs that didn't make the cut:
Not moaning about it, but this thread seems to have become a Carrara advertising thing with aftermarket goodies being displayed… Goes a bit against the thread’s original CXX title. Not that I’ve anything against Carrara, but you know, just sayin… the thread on Sonderwunsch items was a source of inspiration when configuring my car and it feels like it’s taken a different direction recently…

Hmmm... I hear what you're saying but you do realize he started the thread and he's a board sponsor right? Maybe to certain extend the title can be reconsidered but you should treat this entire thread as advertisement to promote the business from the get go. Just my 2 cents.

Just giving the occasional bump as not too many CXX or Sonderwunsch cars are delivered yet or here on Rennlist- and I thought we're keeping it pretty high quality with our content. Rennlist has become a shell of its former self IMO (some of the threads here in the 992 GT forum just crack me up) so we try to keep things straightforward and interesting without being overly market-y. I did try to change the title to something similar to our thread we had in the 991 forums but Rennlist won't let me change it. But yes generally this thread is pretty much the only paid form of advertising we do and Rennlist charges us dearly for it so it'd be a waste not to post. I'll inquire about perhaps changing the title or we can create a separate thread more focused on marketing directly.
Also FWIW we make pennies on the dollar when it comes to vinyl or any other "aftermarket goodies", our main business is rendering services for CXX options for clients that the configurator or Porsche couldn't otherwise visualize, and we work with dealer networks and sometimes even Exclusive directly.

my bad, I wasn’t treating this thread as you suggested. Again, I got nothing against Carrara, on the contrary… it’s just that many times I’ve caught myself clicking this thread expecting to see some CXX posts to no avail. And from a marketing standpoint I’m not sure if this is ideal, just saying…

I hear you brother, and I can safely say I’m one of those who value your work, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say that part of your content didn’t inspire my own choices when configuring my car. Not saying that you should stop adding content/ that you’re skimming people/or clickbaiting enthusiasts in any way… just that there’s a mismatch between the thread’s title and what’s normally posted, and after a while this might produce the inverse effects. But maybe that’s just me. Didn’t mean to offend/insult anyone here…
