How many multi billion $ emergency loans will the hedge funds take out before capitulating? It could end the other way couldn't it? Where #WSB wins?

Side note: what are long term effects for hedge fund industry? Is chamath right?

So sad that the WSB crew finally hit it big and they are going to give it all back to the house. One guy is up over $40M on a $53K investment and he won't sell. The house always wins...

While true, you must admire this move. That takes big *****, forget about the money for a second. I'm reading some insane rumours of $1000 per share by friday.. Certainly not touching that one.

I've spent my entire day behind a computer reading non stop about this topic... Seems like these guys all have a "stick to it to the man" attitude. It's to the point where they're trying to send a message rather than cash out.

BANG stocks are the new meme.

Blackberry
AMC
Nokia
Gamestop

If that list doesn't make you laugh out loud, I don't know what will.

Don't discard Gamestop. I'm among the younger ones on this forum (23) and Gamestop is far from done (= being bankrupt.) They are gonna reposition itself as an eSports hub. Look at how many outlets they have. Now imagine every outlet being an eSports hub for the youngsters to come, play and buy. eSports is gonna be the biggest sport by far and is already eclipsing viewership numbers of big events whether it's soccer (for us in Europe), football or NBA. The original r/wsb thesis was that they won't go bankrupt and have some long term upside potential. Ryan Cohen from Chewy is on their board now and will pull things around. The short squeeze is just the cherry on the top but that's what the greedy hedge funds get for shorting 140% of the outstanding float. Is $500 a fair price? No. But look at the VW / Porsche short squeeze in 2008. I was only 11 back then but you guys might have better memories of that! Long term, GME is a buy under $50 and will do just fine as a company. Right now, it's tulip mania all over.

I cashed out in premarket today at $420.69 (riding the wsb memes) after going in at $38.22. 1000% in two weeks.... Gonna put it towards my GT3 which I'll hopefully get this or next year, fingers crossed!

PS: The guy who went from $53k to 48m (now 60m) has already cashed out 13m and you can find him on Youtube under the username "Roaring Kitty." Watch his oldest video where he explains his thesis and approach towards GME, very insightful. It's fun to watch r/wsb win over the boomer hedge funds for once!

Weird. I've been going to Investing forums for advice on Porsches. https://www.valueinvestorsclub.com/

Since I would assume most on here are savvy investors, this is a very interesting off-topic. Before we go though... here are a few images which pretty well explain what is happening.. After years of hedge funds pilfering trillions of dollars through there methods, it's about time the retail investor got a shot at it.Name: photo31.jpg

Absolutely disgusting. Blatant corruption and rule breaking. Thanks to the modern internet age, this is all in front of our eyes to see. It's in plain sight. This is similar to dare I say the recent election? That's another topic.

Thanks for sharing Alexio.

Agree, disagree, irrelevant. This is the slippery slope toward RL being a complete POS.

I'd implore the mods to move this thread, kill it, whatever. There are definitely places to discuss investing and politics but I think we all benefit if it isn't in the car technical forums.

Sooooooo any idea when this damn GT3 is going to be released yet? I've had a deposit in for something like a year and half. The excitement is starting to turn to irritation as it just keeps getting dragged out with really nothing concrete to look forward to yet.

I thought I'd whine a little bit just to help get back on topic. haha

I've been holding off forever too, I'm honestly shopping for another toy at this point. The new Tundra is also being delayed due to a shortage in supply... More of those microchips I'm assuming?
