In the end a multi link is a phone call to Autoquest away, a gt3 motor is considerably more difficult and expensive to try and retrofit on your own. I'm currently 1st on my dealers list for a rs, but if the road car gets the same old 4.0 9A2 then I dont think I can really justify getting rid of my current gt4.

Its certainly a valid concern but most chip manufacturers don’t envision delay’s beyond first quarter of 2022. Many believe they will be caught up before the end of the year.

If you have additional insight how the chip situation will be caught up by the end of the year, please share. Toyota just announced a 40% reduction. Sounds like the shortage is going to be much worse than people expect - at least just about every prediction so far has been off.
From the looks of it, current GT3 production/delivery to the US is starting to lag about 2+ months behind.

Respectfully, people thinking Porsche is going to deliver a ton of GT3s during this run I think aren't understanding the current production problems.

FWIW, the CEO of Volkswagen was quoted today that the chip shortage could impact production for a few months and possibly through 2022.
Porsche has always been a forward thinking company and I have no doubt they will prioritize their highly profitable GT models in chip acquisition.
The car manufacturers woe is me pronouncements regarding chip delays have financial motivation under currents.

I wonder if Porsche will stretch the 992.1 GT3/T in to a three year run like they did with the 991.1 after the stop sale.
