I am thinking Porsche might go with 4.2L
Nothing left with 4.0L engines.

Yeah, its the emissions battle which is forcing their hand, not general motor capability in flat 6 na format.

More specifically KERS.

Especially if it's like the MGU-K system used in F1, where you could summon the extra electric power on demand.

Now, that would be something.

Not holding my breath, however.

^^ oofta…
If there was ever a platform that screamed for more torques, this is it…
Personally, it’s all going plenty fast for me with the N/A 4.0. For me it could be the ideal combo; no power but maximum control with the customizable setup and downforce and none of the power to scare you then say a terrifyingly fast speed-builder like the GT2RS.

But imagine the next GT2RS in the right hands.. all the other can pack up. Again.

The current 991 GT2 RS MR can barely keep up with the current 765LT.

As they say, more power makes you faster in a straight line, less weight makes you faster everywhere.

Mclaren always has the upper hand in the latter.

There is no current GT2 RS. It is now over 5 years old. The fact that the comparisons for it are recently released cars should tell you where the next one will land… to the top!
