992 GT3RS

In a couple of weeks, Manthey Racing and Porsche will present the Manthey Performance Kit for the 992 GT3. This version will show a real bump in performance with a lot more downforce with no change of drag from the standard version. The 992 package will at this time tell the answers about the 3RS performance, I think it will be quicker than the 991.2 GT2 RS....

I didn’t know they were getting ready to release the 992 GT3 MR lap time but that’s exciting. I’d also assume the 992 GT3 RS official lap time will be quicker than the 992 GT3 MR official lap time. I haven’t thought much about how much quicker but hopefully the GT3 MR splits the difference between the two. So, maybe something like a 6:47?

I think what he’s saying is “they are going to release the 992 GT3 MR lap time. From that, we will get an idea of what better damping, lighter wheels, more aggressive pads, and more downforce with a better L/D ratio will do for the platform. The assumption is that the 992 GT3 RS will have even more lightweight bits, more downforce with an even better L/D ratio, and potentially more power than the 992 GT3 MR. So, it’s lap time will be even quicker still.”

The RS is going to have active aero and more power - those 2 things really help with laptime and the MR has neither. Even the new wheels are only Aluminum…

My guess for for the past year has been 6:39 taking into account active aero, tires, more HP and I am assuming the double wishbone front suspension like the GT3. I might be overly optimistic.

I wish Porsche would publish their expected Ring times.
That would be really interesting to then compare it with the actual Ring times.
Cuz we all know the GT department builds these cars to a specific Ring time.
